Trade Value Thread (TVT) Quarter 4 2018

The FF have gotten harder and harder to land. It terms of secondary value they are pretty close to the same range. The Forces maybe goes from like .25 VR less, but its close enough. I just don't see a ton of FF moving lately.

 

Looking for a B:B:T, I've offered before Damon, Proper Dose , FOb3 and a 2018 Reserve and nothing. Am I close? Would a Damon and Henna Karma and a plus work like a PCC or Fob4 ? Or a bigger plus?

 

People don't seem to be trading BBT b1 or b2 very much unless it's for an 'equal' bottle or even larger. The one volume based trade I saw completed recently was a guy who traded Bourbon County Vanilla Stout '18 X 10 for one BBT b2, and even that seems like an outlier.

 

I’m also interested in landing a BBT. Would “pick any two of the following lines” be in the right ball park?

FF seems to be going around 0.5VR units more than assassin, but agreed harder and harder to find. You will need to add a decent size plus.

 

The Forager and BT WTF should be close as far as secondary, but you will probably ahve to add the black lotus to close it.

 

You need a larger anchor bottle or maybe another bottle on par with Damon for a double anchor.

 

Like others I’m looking to land BBT b2. Would Tape Rock + MDb5 + get the job done?

I traded a maman 18 for OG nilla a couple months ago

 

Was it 1:1? Was thinking a 2010 could pull more than that. Maybe a small plus but I suppose the nilla is on the downfall being almost a decade old

 

Well I can't say exactly how many VR units but considering it went to a smaller format than batch one....there is a dip in value.

 

Part of a monster trade. I originally wanted OG Rare for maman 1:1 He said he would do OG Nilla instead. So we decided to expand to make everyone happy. I sent BAA16 + Maman 18+ SP Jammy b1 for OG Nilla + OG Rare + Cherry Rye.

So yeah It would have been 1:1 but I didn't want to do that because OG Rare was main want.

I think it's much easier to buy than trade for right now. The FOBAB version of Mehndi was underwhelming so in typical Chicago suburbs flipper fashion, a lot of people sold their bottles pretty quickly after release for about half of a VR and as a result the "sale" price is still somewhat low. But as people open their bottles, turns out it's really f'ing good (in a couple of blind shares locally it's held up against Maman and similar beers). I think the rising perception of the beer plus difficulty of obtaining it (1pp lottery) means that anybody who has one and intends on drinking it would be hesitant to give it up. But the suburbs flippers are always gonna flip, so my guess is you could probably buy one for a little over half a VR but would need almost a VR's worth of beer to trade for it. Just my impression
