Other Half (2019)

Didn't cans sell out very early in the morning last weekend, except for one? What was the reason for that? Did they send cans upstate?

 

Also the weather is gonna be crap, cold January rain all morning and early afternoon.

Based on my experience from the NYE event, I'd highly recommend the VIP ticket if you are considering Pastrytown - just because of the free coat check. My jacket was stolen that night, and OH is not really doing much to help with the situation. Normally I wouldn't give a damn, but it was a fairly new mildly expensive patagonia down jacket.

 

I just wish they listed the VIP beers beforehand so I knew what they were while deciding. The extra hour was 100% the best part of the VIP ticket for Green City; I would pay $50 to add that on its own.

 

Damn, that sucks. Who did you talk to at OH about it?

 

Talked to the security guy and one of the managers (i think that's his role) Geriz who used to work at Bruno Pizza. I also wrote them on FB and they recommended I email admin@oh which i have, but no response.

Might I add that i also had a glass of stout showered all over my suit and shirt that got ruined... There was a scuffle and security was plowing through the crowd to throw someone out that was a result.. Bad night for apparel, great night overall tho lol

 

Oof, none of this sounds like a fun time to my old ass.

 

On top of the split locations. I also wonder if infinity will draw an above average crowd. When the original iteration was released it didn’t get much cred until after the fact (whereupon it got tons - was definitely a top 5 of the year for me) - so maybe that plus the New & Improved ‘tosed up nature of this one could make it busy. But yeah turning up at noon you’ll get several cans very easily with little to no wait

Also was BA well represented in the brawl? I heard that @SpinSamzo threw someone through a window, but haven’t seen it confirmed from the source

I was contemplating making the trip being that I’m a huge SC fan boy but I, for one, am gonna skip because of the lactose. My birthday is soon and I’m sure the wife would probably give me a pass to make the trip but I’d rather wait a week and try to play that card next week and see what’s released. Roll of the dice, I know.

 

I, for one, do NOT welcome our new lactosed overlords.

 

Anyone try the latest batch of DDH Space Diamonds yet?

 

Yeah I wish it was just an exact repeat of last time but still going to give it a shot I think

 

Same boat here, there is a long shot possibility I could try to roll-up after line dies down and get some, but I am drawing the line at the lactose. I am not a health nut, but pretty health conscious, one could argue drink less beer to be really healthy, but I think if the sugar content was labeled on these beers it would be ugly and I would never drink one of them.

Also, Sand City has survived without tosing up their beers, I hope it stays that way. I know Other Half makes great beer, but adding the tose seems like the easy way out and cheating to me.
