@PassMeAZima was my sender, who knew :trollface

Some killer extras. Already cracked the rum to make some Puerto Rican egg nog. The nate coffee stout was damn tasty.

Sooooooo I was lucky to be the recipient of the NTP from @Jawnnm - with the brewery being Rowley Farmhouse Ales as the primary brewery and Bow & Arrow and the secondary.

I got a crazy generous box.

    Primary brewery.
    Secondary Brewery and swag
    [IMG]
And picked a ridiculous bottle from the swap box
    [IMG]

Here’s a full lineup. Picture is a little washed out from the sun. Sorry!

And already drank one of each from each brewery. Might get into another one tonight.

Both were great. Rowley was next level. Can’t wait for the rest.

Thanks so much John! Will be posting a sign up after 12DoX. Primary brewery will probably be The Referend. Check your Untappd check ins.

Santa also likes a beer and a cigar. Tradition started 4 or 5 years ago, 2 or 3 years before the twins were even born.

Even though this channel appears to be dead, ending the year strong. I forgot to write the name of the local that I got this from but thank you way better than I expected.

Since you are officially a mead maker now I will assume you will only be drinking homemade mead, high life and more beers.

I will have you know I am well on my way to repair! Next week I'll even be able to drive again. So that means you'll only be stuck with 1 deadbeat FIB.

Sorry for the delay! I wanted to wait until after 12DoX and it was so cold for a bit everywhere. So starting this up and hopefully getting it out in 2-3 weeks.

The Locals “New Ticks” Parallel (NTP) Box

Every area of the country has a brewery that gets a ton of well-deserved hype, but doesn’t distribute out of state – or distribute at all, in some cases. There are also breweries that are putting out delicious brews that get little to no hype, but locals swear by their beer. This box will include beers from both types of breweries, hence “Parallel” – two horizontals, if you will.

Now, here’s the real twist – Among other criteria (listed below), the only way you are eligible to receive this box is if you’ve had 5 or fewer beers from the “Main Brewery” listed below in the last 2 years. If you’ve had more than 5, but they were all sample pours of an ounce or two, it is at the discretion of the sender if you qualify. This is the “New Ticks” portion of the box, the idea being to spread the love and get great beer into the hands of people who haven’t been lucky enough to try anything from a great brewery.

    Origin - Collingswood, NJ
Main Brewery: The Referend Bier Blendery

    What’s in the Box?!??!
The NTP box is intentionally reasonably sized (6-10 beers max), and will include 4 parts:
    1. Several offerings from the “Main Brewery”.
    2. A couple offerings from an unannounced “Unheralded Local Brewery”.
    3. Swag from at least one, if not both breweries.
    4. A “Take a beer, Leave a beer” Box.

The “Take a beer, Leave a beer” box:
This box will include 3 cellarable beers, and is like that penny tray at your local gas station. As the NTP box arrives with each new recipient, they will have the option to take 1 (and only 1) beer to drink or cellar for future consumption – absolutely no trading or forwarding, however much you mightwant to. If the recipient takes a beer from this box, they must replace it with something worthy of the traveling box. These beers don't need to be local, just awesome.

    Rules / How it Works:
    ◦ This traveling box is open to all Locals, as well as certified lurkers who have successfully participated in other major BIF rounds here on Beer Advocate.
    ◦ Sender announces their “Main Brewery” and sign ups remain open for a specified length of time. This brewery must not distribute out of state, and must be worthy of being the focus of the traveling box.
    ◦ Interested participants who meet the criteria (Be honest. No deleting UnTappd check-ins!) must message the sender, and once sign-ups have ended the sender selects a target at random.
    ◦ Sender will keep the “winning” participant secret, and ship within a reasonable amount of time. BIF-style hints encouraged.
    ◦ Once the box lands, the Recipient now becomes the next sender. They should add a local sticker/label/etc… to the inside of the box and reopen sign-ups for the next round when ready (3-4 weeks max).
    ◦ If at any time there are no interested sign-ups, or the exterior box is on its last legs, the current sender will ship back to the originator of the box (@RuckIt).

BM me with "NTP Box" in the title. Include your shipping address, shirt size, swag preference, and what (if anything) you've had from the "Main Brewery". If there are any "do-not-ship" dates, include that info too! I will close this on Friday, 03/01/18 and plan to ship out the week of 03/11/18.

    Cheers Locals #L4L

This thread has been annoyingly quiet lately, but good news -- I was ninja'd today by @andreizm

I apparently gave him his 10,000th like on BA, and I came home today to this...

Tupps DDH IPA Series 7 -- I'm actually drinking this one as I type -- definitely Citra, which is good, but I would have guessed this was an APA, not an IPA. Still tasty.
Russian River Supplication - I've had this once before and loved it, but that was 4 years ago -- this might be the same batch! (It's from 2014)
Side Project Merci (Blend #3) - my second Side Project beer ever!
Bruery Terreux The Wanderer (2016) -- I still laugh when I read "contains alcohol" on the sides of their bottles, especially after this year's 12DOX
Firestone Walker Parabola (2015)-- I've actually never had this vintage, so I'm eager to see how it is
Jester King Omniscience & Proselytism (Blend 5) - JK is always good. Seriously (ie, not JK)
Tupps Full Grown Scallywag (2019) - Coconut Vanilla Imperial Stout - the style certainly sounds great, even if I've never heard of the brewery (until I opened the one listed above).

Thanks a ton @andreizm ! We need to get this thread to 2000 pages!!
