Yeah, if one just extracted the comments, I'd sooner think these were Jamba Juice check-ins than a brewery.

Was there a release there today too? What's that line looking like? Hopefully there's not a limited release at Sephora and the whole mall isn't just f'd right now.

But seriously folks, how many infant/toddler/children in line today?

This has been my thoughts on every single iteration of More’s fruit beers - especially frooted.

Go to Jamba Juice and add some vodka. You’ll have the exact same drink and it will have been much cheaper.

I bought cans of strawbeeey marbles the last time it was released... it didn’t too much for me. So I had to go to Steak ‘n Shake to get an actually strawberry milkshake... which made me a lot happier.

I love the Gerber banana baby food. As in when my kids were babies it would disappear a lot quicker than my wife expected...

Couldn’t you basically say this about any adjunct beer?

A fruited Berliner in the style of De Garde says no.

So the family and I headed up there tonight for dinner. Hour wait. HARD PASS (again). So we left. That’s twice I went up there and turned around to come right home in a day. I’m such a loser.

Fair enough, aside from anything aged on fruit in oak barrels. But most American beers today are just adding flavoring as a compliment (or overpowerment) the beer

it wasn’t too bad, they ran through it pretty quick - probably about 11:30 when I had beers in hand

Disagree completely. Off Color does fantastic fruit beers. Hell broth spends no time in barrels that I know of, and Yuzu fierce is kettle sour, and readily available, but they are not anything near a smoothie cocktail.

The weather and the holidays (time off) definitely led to people wanting out of the house after a gray week

Same can be said for Rev's BA series thst use adjuncts/additives (and really any actually good beer that does). Not only do the coffee, vanilla, and currants not completely overpower the base, but the barrel doesn't either; it's still fully recognizable as beer, and that's what I want when I drink beer.

Additives and adjuncts should complement the beer, not be the only thing you taste, otherwise what's the point?

I am able to agree with both of these points because there are times where I want beer to taste like beer. Suarez, Dovetail, and Bells are some I think of.

I am also in the camp that enjoyed this beer and recognize that what they are doing is a style/method of brewing beer that is popular and I’m also sometimes in the mood for.

I don’t think this is a binary argument - guessing there are plenty of folks who agree on liking both.

Since we are throwing around breweries who don’t brew this way, I thought I’d list a few that do - Mikerphone, The Answer, Tired Hands, Great Notion, JWB, Angry Chair all come to mind where the additives and adjuncts ARE the things you taste.

If I go for a late lunch, think the City test variants and SBM will still be on?

Tired Hands is nowhere near the same as those other breweries listed. Their saison and wild game is off the chart, and though they have some “throw shit at the wall” beers, they are simply talented brewers.

They can brew a standard west coast IPA that’s on par with anyone.

And of those other breweries you’ve listed, I honestly can say that only Great Notion has brewed anything I’ve found to be exceptionally good, while everything I’ve had from The Answer has been downright bad.

The new answer stouts that they're brewing themselves are fantastic, although definitely still sweet.

I was at More last night for the first time in about a year. Both the City stouts were amazing, Imperial Falling Colors was great, and multiple tasty IPAs on tap as well. It's awesome to see how much their draft offerings have improved since the last time I was there; I'll definitely be back tonight
