According to AB's TAP INTO YOUR BEER website:
Both are listed as "Type 906 - MALT BEVERAGES SPECIALITIES - FLAVORED" on their TTB COLAs.

    * Yeah, not a typo - they actually put "lime" in the brand name twice.

I had a Suarez Palatine Pils last night for the first time. I think it might be the best Pilsner I’ve ever had. And, I don’t mean best American made Pilsner. I’m guessing that might be controversial.

Agreed, but calling Bud Light Orange drain cleaner is a reasonable take in my opinion.

Lambic is actually quite a nice winter beer. I'd love to have a fireplace so that I could drink my lambic in front of it right now :slight_frown:.

Below is an excerpt from a technical encyclopedia book from 1915 (Enzyklopädie der technischen Chemie) page 508, my translation:

"The "Kölnische weissbier" is a lager beer-like, gold colored, 9% bitter-beer, which is brewed and drunk in large amounts in west-Germany, it is pitched at 10 degrees and after a 6-7 day fermentation with a nice break it is transferred into large lager barrels and is allowed to undergo a secondary fermentation at 6 degrees, it is then cleared with wood chips and filtered before being sent out. It is very strongly hopped. Up to 3 pounds of hops per zentner malt is boiled with the wort and up to around 1 pound of brewed hops along with the brewing water is added to the lager barrel where it takes on an intense bitterness and attains a strong hop-aroma."

Going back a few more years to the year 1865 there's a book on an agricultural exhibition in Köln taking place the same year. Some of the exhibitors are breweries where one can find a few interesting ones on pages 91-92:

Is anyone else annoyed with the proliferation of marshmallows in beer lately? Anyone else that uses Instagram heavily like I do will have noticed. Why are there so many stouts and sours brewed with goddamned marshmallows? Just when I thought lactose in virtually beer was bad, now everyone is using freaking marshmallows. What started as a gimmick has become commonplace and I just don't know how to feel about it.

Also, cinnamon is become way overrated and overused as a flavoring lately. Nearly every imperial stout is brewed with cinnamon from all these "hype" breweries. Don't get me wrong, cinnamon can be tasty in small doses, but when every other imperial stout release uses cinnamon, it seems a bit much. Maybe it's just me. I never get tired of coffee and vanilla, but cinnamon seems way overused.

Marshmallow and all other swag ass garbage candy. Since when does craft beer involve using super cheap industrial ingredients? Maybe try brewing a beer with actual mallow root if you want to be crafty, jet puffed sugar is not an craft ingredient. lookin at you prairie with the friggin oreos

I'm gonna go way out on a limb and suggest brewers do it because folks enjoy to drink beers made that way. In my experience breweries decide what beers to brew based on what beers customers want to drink. I know it must seem controversial to suggest that customers drive the market, but here we are.

As an example of how customer demand, and nothing else, drives industry-- I enjoy guarana sodas, in fact it is the only soda I will drink. A few are made here, but see how silly it sounds if I say something like, "What is up with soda makers not making enough guarana sodas? I love them, therefore they should be made by every soda manufacturer and sold at every store. How crazy is it that the only flavor I love in a soda is hardly produced and difficult to find? Really pisses me off. What the hell is wrong with the soda industry?"

Yeah, I suppose you're right. As usual, you or someone else brings me back down to earth. The simple fact of the matter is that some of these milkshake IPAs and pastry stouts are actually ridiculously delicious. I've been totally hooked on NEIPAs lately, so I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrite. Haha. However, I just think marshmallows is an odd new addition to the craft beer world. What I would really kill for more peanut butter stouts/porters around here...

Obviously their gonna make the beers the market demands and of course none of us are suffering from a lack of good beer options, it's just sad to me that the american palate is drifting so far into the sugar zone. It's like all we eat or drink is candy. It's no way to live

Considering that about 70% of all beer produced in the world is one "style", and it doesn't have marshmallows, or any other crazy adjuncts, I don't think you have anything to worry about. My worry is not for more experimentation but a return to the sixties and early seventies when there were almost no American made options that weren't some form of AAL. Now THAT is something to worry about. When you wish for the American palate to change, well, careful what you wish for, you might get it.

As an "anti-vegetarian", I love the fact that marshmallows are an ingredient. They are made with gelatin, which comes from meat.

Sure, the "magic marshmallows" in Lucky Charms are chemistry.......
