You are far worse of a broken record than @HouseofWortship or @Jplachy is a troll. Far more annoying, too.

They are never returning to the old BW method for their standard BW.

Now, can we please stop reading your same post with a slightly different spin for 2019?

It's January and budgets have been blown (per usual) so we are gonna get this trending: #DrinkTheCellar

My buddy calls it “The Purge”. Each check-in is numbered and he doesn’t allow himself to buy a new 4 pack until he hits each 50 checkin benchmark. I’m doing something similar though I allow exceptions for myself (out of market hops, beers for trades, and More stout releases)

Certainly wouldn’t put it above them to try to get a rise out of people....especially given the fake labels released last year. More power to them for doing so, I think it’s hilarious.

They should go full-on troll and say they are making a new version of Coffee BCBS but have the photo showing them adding green pepper to the tank.

I'm not for the "jolly rancherfication" of beer, but the masses seemed to be happy with Midnight Orange. If GI can make a citrus fruit work with a stout, apple should be considerably easier.

As a person who’s favorite beer is Apple Brandy Noir (this year paled in comparison to other years) I would love to see an apple forward bourbon county. Maybe even finished in apple brandy barrels.

They've done it. It's delicious. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1146/87513/ Why they don't bottle things like Baudonia or Apple Brandy Barrel Bourbon County is beyond me. People went nuts for them. My guess is at some point they will do Apple Brandy aged ones in bottles similar to how BCBS Napa appeared as Brasserie Noir in bottles. Most likely because they want to keep the Bourbon County nomenclature for things that see a bourbon barrel...

Also a huge fan of AB Noir here (haven't gotten a bottle of this year yet), but that is just Noir base aged in apple brandy barrels with nothing else added, no? I just think about that photo and a bunch of tart Granny Smith apples and that I've generally disliked tart leaning, fruited stouts. Now, BCBS base just aged in apple brandy barrels- yes please!

Was it really called BCBS Napa at some point on draft? Genuinely curious. Again, tried this recently and thought it was fantastic.

They had it at Block Party.

    break, break
I'm glad they're experimenting and will probably hear feedback from people drinking it. Not everyone will be happy with every decision goose makes. If you don't like the beer they make you don't have to drink it. There are plenty of other options.

I much prefer reading about Bourbon County 2018 variants then drinking them. Reg is still good. Carry on.

I'm in the camo that would like to see a DB bottled (offering). While many liked literal DB BCBS (twice wet Bourbon barrels), I'd like to see something else for bottles. Surely they have experimented. I'm open to whatever has come back as a favorite.

At one point I think DB would be a good idea for Prop, and likely would be over mass distribution given that they'd probably want to dick around with double racking less than needed for wide distribution. -But, at the same time I half expect Prop to always be about adjuncts. So, /shrug.

Not saying you’re wrong, but I am assuming BC Scotch became Islay but not because of the nomenclature. I could be wrong though

GI 25th Anniversary party in 2013 program had it listed as "Bourbon County Napa County Stout" Bourbon County base aged in red wine barrels.

Bramble was aged in rye barrels as well as vanilla rye so I’m sure that wouldn’t be an issue
