    Zero Gravity Côte de Champlain

    This Orval homage is a little hair of the dog. I hate gushers. If you are a beer and you gush, I will remember this for the rest of my life and I will start to hate your entire beer family. This beer was a gusher. Zero Gravity is fortunate however, because I love this particular delicate beverage. This is the first time that I decided to go to the store to buy a few more bottles of a gusher. Will I be a more forgiving person n 2019?

    This beer makes me think of the time that I drove around Lake Champlain. That was a really great trip, and even though I had my eyes peeled, I didn't take this photo:

    I am drinking Leche Borracho an Imperial Stout from Bottle Logic, ABV 11.70%. It is brewed with Ancho Peppers, Cinnamon, cacao nibs, and lactose sugar, and aged in Tequila and Bourbon Barrels. The flavor is unique and complex and it is difficult to pinpoint. The aroma is very nice like a rum cake with raisins and chocolate, pepper and cinnamon. The flavor is chocolate, cinnamon and sugar, some pepper, and maybe vanilla, and a hint of bourbon and tequila. It is both very good and very complex but a bit too sweet. It is thick and viscous. You need to sip this slowly.

    Very light color, sort of a ginger ale appearance with frothy white cap.

    Mild aroma of sweet malt and floral hops.

    Tastes like a light beer which is to say beer in a diminished capacity. Of course that's rather the point of light beers, undemanding and lower in calories. I do get mild, sweet malt with just enough hop presence to balance. Finishes crisp and clean with a bit of the same lingering in the aftertaste.

    Light-medium texture with balancing carbonation.

    Ok, a light beer with the general attributes of that genre. For all that it is a good example.

    My iPhone died a few days ago, so no posting. We arrived last night from London, and after walking our dogs this am, I went straight to the cellphone doctor (and made a beer run). All seems to be working again; and we’re glad to be home. Cheers from sunny St. Pete!

    Annual release May 2015 Batch No.11. Holy white refined sugar! I wasn't aware demons craved sweets? This is going to take some time to digest. I'm glad I burned some serious calories earlier this morning! Taking down the last couple of Christmas trees today.:wink:
