There was a long-running appreciation thread, but figured Smog City deserves its own thread under the new annual format.

    So let's kick things off...

Crowlers! Laurie Porter told me yesterday that they're releasing crowlers for the first time by the end of February. As a "bottle only brewery in a sea of cans," this is a significant release for them. And he's a look at the crowler artwork...

And: "Infinite Wishes is a bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout, aged for a year in bourbon barrels." It's being released on Saturday, January 19 along with three limited release variants. You can learn more from the blog post.

And post your updates and appreciation in this thread.

    Cheers!

More like a tease on the crowler artwork. But it looks cool. I still own 2 of their original white growlers. It's about time they added crowlers to go. Thanks for the Smog 19 add.

Got it. Nice. Kinda reminds me of Noble's and HpB's new crowler art. What's inside the crowler is great also. Now I wish they would release cans one day. In the meantime I will support their bottles once in a while. Like ESBC.

I was at their go location last Friday and heard about Monks can release. Drove by it heading back on the 405 trying to beat that Friday afternoon 405 jam. I got what I came to Smog for. Thats all.

If you've ever missed it, most of the smog releases also sell previous vintages usually for $1 more for each year old it is.

Yeah, I know. Great pricing. I wanted to know the variant bottle count and limits. Last year they only had enough for 30 people if I remember correctly.

Someone asked about IW lasting until the 26th? Regular, yes. Variants, no. The variants will be gone in a few hours.
Regular IW usually lasts for a few weeks after release.

Can’t tell if Monkish cans tmrw will help or worsen IW release...

Worsen IMO - was really hoping Monkish would do their thing today for that very reason. Green Cheek is doing a TIPA can release tomorrow so hopefully the lot lizards migrate east for maximum can flipping.

Well, you can throw in Monks can’s/bottle release in the mix for today. It’ll be a sh!te show in Torrance today. Are the regular IW bottles being sold at their container location in LB?
