Picked up a 6er of Anchor Xmas today @ my local. Was shocked @ the $13.99 price & was told by the manager that the price had risen & also that the 2 cases he received would be it for the year.

Ive loved this beer for a long time- can anyone confirm my local store is full of crap? I’d love to get more than 1 sixer. Btw I just cracked one & it's fantastic this year.

 

Anyone in the Berkshires, Kelly's in Dalton has an awesome selection. They had 2017, 2018 CBS, 2018 KBS, farm 2 face, Christmas bomb and double dunk, and a bunch of local hops (proc/ medusa/ fort hill). Something for eveeever!!! A great stop!

 

Can’t common on price, but yeah it’s really good this year.

A bit heftier at 6.9%, tastes almost English barleywine-like.

 

I didn't check the price nor have I tried it yet, but I feel like I've seen a lot of it around. I especially feel like I'm noticing more of the big magnum thingies than years past. So it doesn't feel scarce in the just- north-of-Boston area to me anyway.

 

Found a 12 for $11.99. That’s my ticket I guess.

Has anyone seen Boulevard Plaid Habit around MA? Has it already come and gone?

 

I have been eagerly awaiting this one too, but sadly I'm starting to think it's not coming. I'm almost 100% sure it hasn't shown up anywhere in MA yet.

 

Bourbon barrel aged Guinness Antwerpen dropped at Redstone.

Was starting to think we weren’t getting this one.

 

Got it at Julios in Westboro.

Initial allocation seemed to go to big chains (wegmans, total etc), hopefully this batch is spread out more.

 

Perfect. That regular Antwerpen is still sitting there on the shelf in Wilmington.

 

Got a 4 pack of the Bourbon Guinness at Wegmans a few weeks back. A tad thin as you might expect but very smooth with a nice barrel flavor to it. I enjoyed it. Great if you aren't in the mood for a real heavy stout.

 

Well damnit. I had a buddy pick up the Antwerpen but Redstone was out of the barrel aged. They actually said it sold out in a day so I guess Guinness has successfully got geeks' attention.

I'll have my wife try at Wegman's this week.

Been getting back into Belgian Tripels lately. any suggestions for good ones made in or around Mass? My usuals have been Allagash and La Fin du Monde (yes I realize neither made in Mass).

 

Allagash Tripel is one of my faves.

Bone Up currently has a nice tripel available called Joybringer on tap and in bottles (brewery only). They had a rye barrel aged version pouring at their birthday party last week that was fantastic.
