Anyone else get a (not unpleasant) peanut butter aftertaste from Indignant 37 mo?

May try Saturday. 12 month was excellent but felt unexpected high and inside heat in the coffee pour (aroma taste and mouth feel / after taste).

Heading to Fulton for triple barrel action.

50% of their menu looked like dark beers.

Any word on who will be going into that space after them?

FYI - Delirium Black Barrel Aged is on at map room. Not a stout, but it’s pretty tasty. Having that and an Abt 12 and wondering if I’ve made a mistake spending too much time on hype beers...

I mean, sometimes. But yeah, no regrets. Belgians in the morning? I smell a nap. And oddly humorous posts. Not necessarily in that order.

Waking up to 6 inches of snow, and it's still coming, has me wondering what barrel aged goodness I'll be drinking today...

Ha - late post. Those were from last night. It is snowing here, too, so I think my future holds a dark beer and a nap for sure.

I remember (or more to the point, don't remember) going a few years ago and it was $15 for five 5 oz pours of BA indignant. It destroyed me. I ate McDonald's for the first time in a decade at Union to try to keep it together. But worth it.

I had the 12 and 37 month Indignants yesterday, really enjoyed them. 12 is just a really solid BA stout, and 37 is really interesting. It's less wine-forward (seeming) than the 32 was last year, I think.

I was pumped for the chocolate mint version, but didn't enjoy it nearly as much. It was mostly mint, and could've used more sweetness.

also, I prepurchased 2 cans of Clare's, but bought two more at Haymarket to make it an even 4-pack, because I'm a sucker.

Yeh I really liked the 37 month. Thought it was very smooth and the type of beer that could get me in trouble if I wasn’t paying attention.

You could buy 2 more Clare’s today (for a total of 6) due to a “higher than expected yield”. We should note that the beer never sold out on BPT which would be a more accurate reason as to why you could buy 6. I stuck with my 4 and will crack one tonight

LOL, I had the same thought. I bought the extra 2 since I was already planning to send several out paying off my fantasy football debts ...

haha yep. I will say at 1pm there was a nice lunch/release crowd there so it looked like a good event day. Just no line for can pickups at that point.

My first can was really tasty (although I really hate that word ... and cheek, panties, nipples, and creamy ... I hate all those words too).

It’s really good. Probably better than Bramble and on par with a Deth by Currants for me. Guess this means a 3 Way showdown is needed!

Did anyone else get a bit of cough syrup vibe to Clare’s? I loved it when I had it in the past, but my draft pour was a miss compared to the prior version I had.
