Liquor Lot on Winchester Rd had Homestyle and Scatterbrain in the back of the cooler. I didn't check dates when I was there yesterday.

So here's some Kentucky news: St Arnulf Alery is officially closed. But the reason why is that a con artist sham brewer took them for a ride, and it's not the first time he's done it.

Stephen Foster tanked Four Horsemen in Indiana, a brewery in Florida, and now St. Arnulf. The St. Arnulf owner, Molly Oliver, confirmed the closure due to the brewer skipping town, and confirmed that this is the same guy.

There's a Reddit thread that goes into a little detail somewhere.

Did baba sell out immediately last year? 8 bottle allotment seems like quite a bit. They allow bottle shares?

Everything but a few regular bottles sold out on the first day.

Bottle shares are illegal in Kentucky.

I just had to say that so the brewery doesn't blame me for what will happen despite the previous sentence.

I use the bottles I don't drink to trade for the sorts of brewery-only special release bottles that don't require secondary values. If you've got that sort of thing, LMK. Always on the lookout for some VSOJ.

Anybody else doing the Big Beers event or grabbing the AB Barleywine at W6 on Saturday? I figured it seems like a good enough time with the UK game on.

I’m thinking about it. It was fun last year. As long as the weather doesn’t suck, it should be a good time.

Yes, I'll be there at some point. I might be going up to Streetside for the new Demogorgon release, because that AB Demogorgon was great.

What's a good time to get up there on Saturday? I want to limit my standing in the cold time, but I'd like to obviously get my allotment and partake of any parking lot activities.

I’ve gotten there around 10 the past two years and been fine to get bottles and drafts. That’s what I’m aiming for this year too.

I'll be there early. If the good stuff hasn't already started, it will then. I like to be able to take a break by about 10 and sober up for the release.

Hopefully all of the people reading this know, but every year there's those guys, standing there, not having fun.

Bring a taster and a bottled water if you do nothing else when lining up for Baba Yaga.

Don't f***ing bring bourbon. People get trashed and do drunk people things. Those are the things that will have Ethereal asking us to never line up again.

I know for a fact Chocolate Sea Salt sold out already, I doubt any of the others will remain within an hour or so. Beers are fantastic, event was great.

Nice to meet you again @IMFletcher! All the Louisville guys agreed: our local folks should just copy Ethereal's release in every possible way. Just a great welcoming environment, a great share, and great beers.

Y'all would have to have Ethereal in Louisville, though, and I'll fight to keep them here.

I think they have set an example that most of the other local places have followed, but it really depends on all of us continuing to be good customers. Things were cleaned up, nothing was wrecked, nobody fought (seriously, why do people fight in line?), so hopefully the good times continue.

I hate to do this, but check your Baba Yaga bags to make sure you have the correct bottles inside. I've got 4/5 bags with 2 Sea Salt and 0 Mayan Chocolate. (5th bag is a relay for a friend, I didn't cheat)
