Love most everything rye and this one is just right. The spice of rye but an easy to drink "gentle" pale.

    Glad it is back.

Hmm, is it still a Golden Rye Pale Ale though? This seems to indicate possibly not.

Want and need this in 16oz pounder cans

Though cause of the bottle cap this has been a Valentine’s Day gift many times

Smitten is one of my top 10 beers. Very happy it's coming back!

It use to be, but wont be this year it looks like. Cant beat $6.39 4 pack pounders of this one in my neck of the woods, sad its not coming back as such.

Kinda wish they weren't dry hopping it. For better or worse it still won't be the same.

I guess I must be out of the loop. How is this version different than what use to be a spring release just a 2 years ago?

This link mentions the change to the beer label. It does not state if this is a recipe change or just a label change. Here's Bell's Instagram post:
... and this page on Bell's site implies that the beer was dry hopped with Cascades before the label change.

Gonna say its safe to assume its the same beer, and that marketing decided dry hopped pale ale sounds better than golden rye ale

They did make a post on social media about it. It does appear there was a (slight) recipe change.

I guess marketing knows better than I do, but golden rye ale is what initially appealed to me. With out seeing this thread and hearing that it should be the same, if I saw the label dry hopped pale ale instead of the original, I would think twice on purchasing the beer. Personal opinion...

Really the only golden ale I'd ever considered myself a fan of.
