I visited Cantillion 3 times this past fall. Nothing for take away except the 3 regulars, until a week after Zwanze. Bottles of 2018 Nath, 1 per person, could be bought if you knew to ask ( i.e., not on the board) price was 18 Euros.

I had both ‘17 and ‘18 Nath during my visits, both were spectacular imo, and I thought the ‘17 was better. Worth seeking out...but $100 seems silly....

    Good luck with your search!

I have been actively trying for over a year to get one bottle. Sometimes I'm more proactive then other times. But its becoming ridiculous when you can't even get one for double its trade value. Still actively looking if anybody reads this and wants to step outside to the trading forum. In Chicago like the politics and everything else, its who you know. West Lakeview Liquors plays favorites and gets you Cantillon if you spend crazy money year round. The only time I saw Cantillon for sale there was during Zwanzee Day. I remember 10 years ago or so going to Sam's Liquors (pre Binnys) and seeing Fou Fone and Lou Pepe Kriek and Gueuze and would say "Who would pay $30 for a beer?" And also thinking that is wasn't even bourbon barrel aged! When the craziest beer being made was from Dogfish Head. Extreme was coffee infusion. And we had to walk to Belgium in the snow for a Chimay. Well, everything but that last statement is true. Thanks everyone and I will keep trying!

FWIW, I thought the 2017 I had at Nuetnigenough in Brussels in August was more acidic than the 2018 I had in November. I thought 2018 had more delicate acidity which allowed the funk to take center stage. Opened the bottle at a party with mostly lambic noobs and they were all floored by how good it was.

Good thing this is the Beer Talk forum rather than the Great Lakes forum... it's not safe to bring up West Lakeview Liquors among the Great Lakes Chicago faithful anymore.
