Sounds to me like they're just trying to avoid having to refund everyone for their Brimley.

I used to drink Wild Turkey all the time. The flavor profile of it has nothing to do with apple...

Really cool, except he's full of shit. Respond back to him and tell him that, and send him the link. Maybe they should fix their fuckup instead of trying to say that it's "supposed" to taste like sour green apple dog piss. Looks like another brewery that I'll be avoiding moving forward.

Yeah I dont know anyone that wants a sour ba stout. Disppointing they arent owning up to an off taste. Ive had a couple buddies tell me the same flavor profile this week and they dumped it out immeadiately.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. Plus the fact that this was one of the bottles included in the membership would mean he would have to offer a refund/replacement bottle of equal $$ value to every 2018 member.....$$$$$

Somewhere, there’s a person at GI reading about this and thinking they’ve should’ve taken a different approach to the 2015 infected BCBS.

Yeah this is the wildest shit I've ever read. Brimley doesn't have notes of green apple it tastes like shit and everyone has dumped their bottles out.

The worst part? I wasn't even going to get it when I happened to be in the area and got it.

I was planning on getting 4 bottles of No Cake. Two for me, two for a buddy. They had a 1 bottle pp limit on No Cake, though, so my fiance and I each got one, one for me and one for my buddy. And I bought one Brimley for each of us. And he drain-poured Brimley, and so did I. It was disgusting. And the brewery is lying to avoid having to fork out thousands in refunds.

That type of bourbon is renowned for it's bilious puke flavor. It should fade after some time.

I was hesitant before about buying from Transient, despite the fact that I do enjoy a lot of their beer. I remember Chris coming in this thread a while back and being a bit of a jerk when people questioned him on stuff. This whole "explanation of the flavor notes" excuse is ridiculous, never buying a Transient beer again.

I believe he came in here when people gave him a hard time about Juice is Loose costing $20 a 4 pack or whatever. Now people are like $22 a 4 pack?? SIGN ME UP!

I wonder if Wild Turkey would like to think of their flavor profile being tart green apple?

He included a link to a review of Wild Turkey 101 that includes ZERO mentions of apple.

Yep, that was it, and the first JIL 4 pack was like $22 a four pack. My problem at the time was rather that be reasonable about why it cost that much, he was a dick and seemed offended people would question him at all.

Its hard to believe that a mere two years ago $20+ four-packs were something that caused sticker shock ... now, they're sadly the norm for lots of breweries.

That was the first four pack I bought where I was like, woah, wtf. Partly because I got it from a stack where there was no price posted and it rang up at $24.
