Any one else think the lions are a tad hot? I’ve cracked Vanilla and Coffee so far, big barrel presence (almost as big as the adjunct). Beer is real good, think it will be even better in 6 months

 

First time going to wakefest, and I was wondering are there any tap takeovers or events around the area days before or after the fest? Obviously, the 3 Sons event on Sunday, but looking for other places to be and what-have-yous.

yup keep an eye on their social media in the days leading up, they will both certainly have some stuff going on

 

Wakefest list of breweries is out. Surprised Cycle is not going this year to Wakefest. Any others you are surprised that are either going/not going?

 

Not entirely surprised by that, they sorta mailed it in last year

 

I'd argue to the contrary, I think their beers have been very good recently. They've definitely lost the hype they once had though

 

Agreed about recent Cycle beers. Although I do wonder if some of the hype-loss was intentional on Doug's part, as he seemed tired of the flippers and mules.

But I read @LennyRubio 's comment to be specifically about which beers Cycle chose to bring to WakeFest last year (and I wasn't there, so I don't know what they did or didn't bring).

Apparently they sold out of the 400 bottles last night. There were 50 people at the event so that means everyone bought 8...

 

It was not only available to the event people haha

People could come by and purchase. Event just had first dibs

 

Oh that makes a lot more sense then, thought it was event only last night and then the rest would be available after the event was over

 

Coming from NJ, I was hoping Kane would show up. Not sure if they were there last year either though. This will be my first time there.

 

They weren’t there last year either, but Carton will be there. Last year they poured sundae I believe

 

Looking like rain for the festival. Bring your umbrellas.

 

Fest is over a week away and currently shows 10% chance of rain. High of 73 and low 61. Always best to be prepared for rain though!
