Barrel Aged Smoked Beers

    We were trying to think of some examples of barrel aged smoked beers yesterday and didn't get very far. What examples are out there? The base style doesn't matter. Any widely distributed ones I should have easily thought of?

    But hard to find even in SEPA, and so not easy to think of or widely distributed.

    The Bruery's Smoking Wood has a Rye Barrel aged version and a Bourbon Barrel aged version. Not sure of the distribution but you could probably trade for it. I think I have some I could part with.

    Found this one for under $10 in VT and was thoroughly impressed. Blows away dark intrigue.

    Otto in Oak is really great, a big improvement over the base beer (I wouldn't say it blows away Dark Intrigue, but I seem to like DI more than most). I have some for trade as well, but they can still be found in the occasional bottle shop here or there in the Philly area. I saw bottles at Pinocchios and Capones the last time I went to them (within the past month).

    I've had the Bruery's Smoking Wood Bourbon (which I thought was quite good), and the first batch of Pipework's BA Smoked Porter (which I didn't like that much).

    This one should still be out on shelves!! I saw it for $20.99 a couple of weeks ago and then saw it marked down to $15.99 this past weekend!! Should have pulled the trigger!!
