I don’t know why you are connecting those two thoughts, but if you are cutting back on beer because of a diet, then it’s good to have brewers release beers you aren’t interested in.

I've only experienced that once. I thought it was a unique change compared to the paddle or random plank of wood with holes in it.

I thought this one (below) was cool, but I frequently spilled beer with it.

One of my favorites was Wildlife Brewing in Victor, Idaho that used half of a wooden ski for their flight paddle.

Places that use custom wood flight holders that are designed to have the glasses fit snuggly next to each other are just not thinking it through. Please consider the drinking experience along with your presentation experience. Thank you.

What the frig kind of hellish contrivance is this? Add some metal rings, chain, and a wooden ball and you've got one of those 'pub puzzles' ready to solve if you want to have a drink.

If a brewery is serving in something like that, I don't think kids or dogs should be allowed!

And they probably shouldn't allow you to drink as many beers as are in that tipsy looking contraption either.

Bars should have games - this is a dexterity test, particularly if this is a connecting flight

All this flight serving talk is unecessary. I’m pretty sure evenmorejesus told us that flights should be eliminated entirely.

It could be that he likes those beers and would like the temptation to vanish...

People that play Scrabble in bars should pack it up! Nah, there was this place I used to frequent where the proprietor was a great Scrabble player and beating him was fun. He usually won. There were often two or three games going in the late afternoon....

Humans are omnivores. There are other animal species that way outconsume humans in the amount of protein they eat, but their cranial size didn't go bonkers (large predatory cats come to mind) so I'm gonna need some further explanation before I can accept that theory.

I have no further explanation or proof. But it does seem that cranial capacity grew from Homo Erectus to Homo Sapiens to Homo Sapiens Sapiens. This notion was presented as a distant evolutionary happenstance and noted as such by Loren E. in The Immense Journey. It is not biological science, but it is a speculative piece of "our" journey as an evolving species. It is an interesting anthropological supposition supported by brilliant writing.

Humans are primates and have opposable thumbs so the starting point differs. The claim is that without meat (and possibly cooking) primates would not have become human. For a bit of the evidence/theory/argument see here:

I just might be interested in doing this sort of thing, but only if they also give you a little remote control forklift also.

OK, I'll preface this with: I understand it's beer/brewery's right to serve flights, and perfectly within people's right to purchase said flights...

    that being said:

Ordering a flight when there's no dedicated flight line is a pain in the ass... to the beer server, and to those behind you. Lets get 4-8 tiny glasses, fill those 4-8 tiny glasses, assemble them in some doohickey and shove it over. Versus grab a pint glass, fill it, fling it. Quoting myself... "you're holding up progress"

But, but... How will one efficiently tick new beers if there are limitations to flight availability? I mean, how will
One get to 1200-1500 ticks per year if one has to sit down and enjoy a full pint of beer? Think a minute on how awful it would be to have to leisurely enjoy a full pint of beer! I don’t think you are thinking this through!!
