New member also. Haven't really kept up with the e-mails as it was a gift subscription from my wife. Do we just wait for them to e-mail us and go pickup the bottles in person? Wanted to do the brunch, but had other plans.

When you are ready to pick up your stuff you email the society 24 hours in advance, wait for a reply saying your order is ready for pick up. Then you have a week to pick it up.

    I would add two things:

New beers come out for purchase the first and third Monday of the month at 10am (though they will skip some of those Mondays, including holidays like today). Offshoot IPAs come out on their own random schedule.

When a beer included in your membership is released, you'll get an email "order form" showing the beer purchased at $0, meaning it's ready for pickup per @BeersandBread 's note.

What was everyone’s favorite beer at SMM?

I really really loved Wee Heavy Coconuts, probably my favorite from yesterday. Stream Crossing and Brazo Brazo were both top notch as well. Not "new" per say, but Bruesible: BlueBarry Charms is pretty amazing.

If that's similar as the batch of blueberry charms a few months ago, it was fantastic. I believe my favorite blueiscle.

Speaking of them, when will they start canning them? They did only 1 run last year of cans. Odd not to do it again. It was a hit for sure.

I think it was very similar to Blueberry charms from what I saw, I didn't get to try that one but I remember the descriptions being very similar. I would assume that the same issues with bruesicles in crowlers (must be kept cold, could explode if not) are the same reasons we don't see any wide canning of them. Would be great to see it happen though!

Such a small % that really exploded. Couldn't be worse than the other breweries that do the same thing. Doesn't stop them from canning. I'm no expert, but if there is the potential for crowlers, would smaller cans really have a bigger % of loss? If anything, I would think crowlers would be more risky. Of course I could be wrong.

But I never lost any damaged cans. Either the ones I kept in the fridge or the bunch that shipped across the country.

On draft in the tasting room. There's a menu online.

Short answer is that they're essentially making beer that isn't fully fermented. In this case, crowlers are a better choice since they usually go from fridge to fridge and are drank within 2 weeks of being filled.

I also wonder if it's a PR risk thing - one or two people posting exploding cans on social media could be really distracting for the brand when it's such a tiny part of the business.

I hear ya. There's cool stuff on all the time, but I can only make it once or twice a year. FOMO-4-dayz...

Joose crowlers, jreams and others explode at times in shipping. It doesnt wreck their business. In fact, their business is booming! Make the beers people want! Haha
