Any idea how to find out where it was distributed besides calling every single store? Mainly looking for NNJ stores and seems like not as much makes it up here.

I know Carton releases can availability on Saturdays before opening but is there anyway to find out if their is still iregular cans leftover after they close Friday? I can’t wait until the availability is released on Saturday and I would hate to drive 4 hrs round trip to find out they sold out.

Pavlova does not sound up my alley. But then again there’s only one way to find out. And find out I shall.

I drove over there yesterday with my brother to try the new Irregular and pick up some cans. We thought it was really good. It definitely sounds like a clash of flavors with coffee/strawberry/kiwi, but I think it worked. The nose is still Regular Coffee with the flavor almost like strawberries & cream with that fruity sweetness.

I bought a few 4pks. Churro is as amazing as ever.

I've never even heard of Pavlova cake before but since it pairs well with coffee. Plus, it’s Carton so I'm sure it'll be delicious!

I admire your faith but while I’m also a huge Carton fan and have bought and enjoyed the vast majority of their beers, I’ve also found some of their more unusual beers not enjoyable. I would have a taster at the brewery but I wouldn’t shell out $20 on a beer that doesn’t seem like I would enjoy it. Let us know how you like it though!

Do they update early or at opening? My issue is that I can’t wait to see the update at 12pm and then pull the trigger to drive down there. Additionally Friday’s update does me no good if they sell out towards the end and beermenus isnt updated.

This isn’t a complaint or anything against Carton because I am a huge fan (hence the willingness to drive 4 hours for their beer), it’s just one of those situations where there is no logical answer unfortunately.

What can I say? I’m trying to be more of an optimist this year. I hear you though. At least the 4 packs are split so you get a little bit of both. Will check in next weekend, presuming I get my hands on some this Saturday

Just a fan boi here but I'm pretty sure they continually update it,guessing it's hooked up live to their stock levels. They've updated mid day once it's gone before . You can always call and ask.

Now that’s the answer I was looking for! Haha. I’ll call them Friday before they close. Looks like a litte wave Saturday morning too so I’m definitely leaning towards the drive.

I don’t remember every one but one that stands out was Dune Fruit. I think that was the one that for me had a slight vomit flavor in the aftertaste. There were a couple other misses for me but like I said the vast majority I’ve enjoyed.

I thought Dune Fruit was pretty good but I do wish it had a bit of prickly pear syrup or some sort of added sweetness to cut through the tartness a little bit (kinda like the mulberries in monkey cases the weasel). That’s just my opinion though and it’s a beer I’d have again regardless.

If I had to pick a least favorite by Carton it would probably be Cherry Swisher. It wasn’t terrible I just expected better (FWIW I liked Peach Swisher). I heard Digger was pretty weird too but I never tried it personally.

I agree with not shelling out money for beers that may be complete misses. Carton does some interesting and different things that are not going to be up everyone's alley. That's kind of their thing. The good news is I think they do a wonderful job with the pre-release description videos as well as promotional materials for each beer. You kind of know what you're going to get. That is why I've never bought any of the Swisher beers. I will try them if I ever see them on tap but not going my out of my way for them. Same thing with carton of milk.

As far as how much I like the beers I think I'm going to like, I would say I'm at 75%. Some of them have been disappointments , like idipa, Egoipa etc., RRR,wit whale. But I think the hits outweigh the misses, I appreciate them pushing boundaries, and feel my money is well spent supporting local craft when I buy their products. And Boat is GOAT.

Are you perhaps remembering Rickey? While I liked it I recall others had similar issues with that one

The first batch of Dune Fruit definitely had that underlying "vomit" butyric acid thing going on, especially if your palate was sensitive to it. The second batch was much better IMO and removed that from the profile. Rickey, though, tasted like parmesan cheese. I liked it for what it was, but I remember a lot of people complaining about that one.

Finally got my hands on some regular coffee for the first time ever from a friend. I strike out every year. I wish it was a non-nitro version as I have no basline to compare. This beer is unbelievably smooth for the ABV. Fantastic taste but as I tend to find with nitro beers, a bit muted.
