Grimm Artisanal Ales (2019)

I’m sure you guys were there when I was but I probably wouldn’t have been able to find you all. I was only stopping in anyway - I had my dogs in the car and I was illegally parked.

I’m happy for the Grimms but definitely not enjoyable from my perspective. The sweet spot is 12p-1p before it gets too crowded.

 

That's a bummer, I went on Friday night and the vibe was so awesome, was just about to post about how I really dig the taproom for not being insane.

Yea this past Saturday was the first time I’ve seen it like that. I can usually stroll in and get a seat at the bar.

The positive thing is the money Grimm makes from these packed taproom days will keep the lights on at the brewery!

 

Some of their best ipas have been from this series. I'm was already gonna grab Tetraplex and beer from the evil twin launch this weekend, but I won't be able to pass this up either.

 

I agree both hyperfocuses were good but I'm finding butterfly door to be the best dipa that's come out of that space.

 

Is "biohopping" what we're calling biotransformation, hop compound bio transformation, dry hopping during fermentation, etc?

 

Hey @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales, how many cases of Butterfly Door are available? I was unable to come over the weekend, but hope to try to come by this week if any cans are still left.

 

yea, then dropping the DDH on it. So it looks like they're adding hops to the fermenter 3 times.

I really need to make my way over there one of these days...

 

Their cans usually last into Sunday, right? Since they only open at noon on the weekends I’m thinking of risking the wrath of my wife to pick up the new stuff this Sunday.

 

They've been lasting well into the next week, if something sold out by the end of the following Sunday I'm unaware of it.

 

Have yall experienced lines before opening on Saturdays or is it laid back?

 

I’ve been there Saturday between 12-1 at least 5 times and have not experienced a line. I think there may have been a line for the first release. I’ve shown up at 1215 with maybe 4 people on line for the cans inside and the bar wide open.

 

Picked up a 4 pack of Butterfly Door last night and its fantastic. One of their best cans by far. Not sure how many cases they had left but I saw cases are already hitting distro too if that helps

 

I thought cans were taproom only or has that changed?

 

Their cans have gone out to bottle shop for a few months now.

 

sadly, distro of can's has brought back the inflated prices of the old days... $7.59/can at Bread & Honey for Butterfly Door...
