What are your "can't miss" events? I'm personally looking forward to the Barrel Aged day at The Trappist, and the City Beer Store SARA event, though am fully expecting both to be complete shitshows

Was also looking at the SARA event at CBS. Last one I went to was obviously at their old location and just way too packed. I haven't been to the new location, was hoping maybe it was more spacious? Besides that i'm also looking at The Rare Barrel/Side Project bottle release. Don't really care for TRB sours but i'm hoping Side Project will bring some gems to have on draft.

Good luck, ya'all. Considering how you couldn't even move an inch for previous SARA SFBW events @ City Beer, I'm skipping. But who knows, maybe the new space might work out.

That being said... I am a little curious as to why the SARA events are so huge, considering SARA isn't that far away from SF. (I just went this past weekend, and it was the chillest I've ever seen it!)

I'm in the South Bay. Usually I keep it low key and hit events at Armadillo Willey's in Sunnyvale and Hofbrau House in San Jose. Unfortunately, Hofbrau has closed and it doesn't look like the Sunnyvale location is participating this year. Bummer! So, I'm not sure that I'm going to make any events this year.

Going to the Gala. First time attending that event - don't really have any expectations but I'm sure it will be interesting. I hope to hit the Sante event at CBS, but I don't have a great tolerance for massive lines and crowds, so we will see if I can hang after already attended the Gala. Otherwise I am honestly just hoping to hang out at Cellarmaker locations all weekend. They usually post a list of planned releases, right? Does anyone suspect that they are keeping the Howard location more low-key given that they have the concert and new venue to keep them busy?

I was eyeing that Dark Lord/FO event but I don't know if I want to spend $60 on a ticket.

Sorry, what does CHOP stand for? A Toppling Goliath night would be cool to check out.

My SFBW battle plan is simple this year, stick to the Old Devil Moon/Holy Water/CHoP corridor. Should be more than enough goodness, and it's all walkable!

Likely going to be checking out CHoP and maybe a couple other spots before the Cellarmaker/Khemmis event on Saturday. Other than that, sticking to Gourmet Haus Staudt and Ghostwood Beer Co in Redwood City for the weekend.

Not really defending it, since I didn't try it. But one could look at it and say that it's $7/9oz, so $18 (+$1 for crowler) / 32oz ain't too bad.

I've been so busy with work I haven't really keep up on the different events and releases very well. I'll hope to hit a couple events mid week but mainly going to just stock up on as many cans/bottles as possible so that beer week for me lasts like a month

Outside of the Fieldwork releases this weekend are there any other specialty can or bottles coming out that people are eyeing?

It's not until Thursday but I'm pretty stoked on the Rare Barrel/Side Project collaboration release.
