Dark Lord Day (2019)

Does anyone remember the size restrictions for backpacks? I know they weren’t too strict, but I’m looking at a new backpack and I can’t seem to find the info from last year.

Well, we know policy and enforcement can be two entirely different things with DLD (or any festival for that matter). It's likely they just don't want folks bringing in a giant backpack or of the framed/wheeled variety as stated there. Close enough should be fine I'd think.

 

I brought this backpack last year and it was fine. I wouldn't recommend going any bigger.

 

They didn't even check the size. I brought like a 13x12x21 or something.

 

How many people did you sneak in with that backpack?

Do people really think they're going to bust out a tape measure/ruler at the check-in and measure your backpack? Just buy a backpack... Any standard size backpack should do fine.

 

May be, but the Dark Lord knows. If you aren't in compliance and you get stuck with the muscatel, cardamom, and dill variant won't you question whether if you'd obeyed the rules the DL would have seen fit to award you vanilla?

 

Nah. I'd just think I suck at life, so I got a shitty variant.

It was weird drinking 15% pastry stouts in tropical weather. I hope it snows this year so I don’t have to waste precious backpack space with frozen water bottles.
