Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of the style, but I can see why people would like them. Admittedly, I think this one is pretty tasty for what it is. It's chocked full of vanilla flavor, and super enjoyable at 6.5abv. One of the better ones that I've had thus far, though it is becoming rather sweet as I finish it. Anyways, not that you cared about that rant, but they are fun to try here and then. Cheers!

Have to thank jzeilinger helping me to relearn how to post pics on BA... Thanks man!

I just heard about this brewery near me (about 10-15 minutes away) about a week and a half ago. Arvon Brewing Company in Grandville Michigan. I’m not sure how long they have been around but I got to try them out today. A few of the highlights below! Judging from this Jurassic brew, they are going to give Old Nation a run for their money here in Michigan.

Look how hidden they are. Took us a minute to spot them. No sign at all from the street.

Revolution Boss Ryeway at the source. Wife took the kids to visit their Grandpa in Cincinnati. I have the whole weekend to myself.

IPA from Evil Twin brings a tight brew harnessing impressions of sharp citrus, sweet tropical fruits, clean grasses and pine, and chewy biscuits - super-fine drinking experience...

Festivities are continuity with brew numero dos:
The resulting lovechild from the orgy between Burgeon, Artifex, & Alpine Beer Company - In Parallel. A double dry-hopped ipa. Clocks in at 7.2 abv and features a slew of hops, including southern passion, Nelson, Vic Secret, rakau, & moteuka.

Cannot say that I am feeling all that St. Patricky on Ground Hog Day, but they already have the Saranac Irish mixer on shelves. I bought in, nonetheless. The Red Ale was a hit from last year's sampler. I am looking forward to the 'throwback' B&T... Saranac has always done dark brews well. I wish I could try just the straight stout that they use in the B&T.

Happy Groundhog Day BA! Of course I’ve watched the movie already, there’s a marathon showing on the Pop Network if you want to check it out. I’m also drinking out of this glass in honor of @DoctorZombies Birthday, hope you have many more. The beer is AugustinerBräu Edelstoff Helles.

So I craving a Hop Devil which has disappeared from the area, so I see this. It’s been forever, and I’m thinking hell ya that easily works. It’s a terrific beer, and the Simcoe really drives this beer, it’s all over the nose all over the finish. I dont get much fruit though, I get dank as hell. An old school ipa at its finest, it’s only 7.5 abv, I thought the old stuff was closer to 9.
