Finding Younger in OC/LA area (2019)

    In the past when they had they generally announced it ahead of time and I believe you had to go in advance and get a ticket, but I've never been there for PtY. I've had lots of great beers over the years when I was in undergrad.

    If you're feeling charitable you also have the beachwood raffle. I'm hypothesizing that with less hype and more supply you may have decent odds this year.

    Not sure about younger these days at Anthill, but during campus happy hour we used to be able to get $10 pitchers of Pliny the elder over there. The stand-up comedy and jazz bands at anthill were fun too. There was actually a time when anthill was considered one of the best craft beer bars in the OC/LA area.

    I believe that Anthill Pub is also under new ownership (Aramark) so your guess is as good as mine to who's running the beer program over there.

    I heard Naja's will tap the Younger today at 4. Anybody else hear this? My source is a regular Naja guy.

    Redondo Beach – February 8th
    Naja’s Place in Redondo Beach has tapped their keg of Pliny the Younger as of 3pm on Friday. Typically an unannounced tapping, Naja’s announced it on their Instagram, making me feel like there’s the possibility of another unannounced tapping in the cards at some point. Purely speculation! Either way, head down to Redondo Beach area RIGHT NOW and grab your first pour of the season before it’s gone!

    Once PtY starts hitting South OC I usually just spend the week working in San Clemente, a perk is being able to work remotely. I check Facebook @11am to see if pizza port taps theirs or I just go there for lunch. I usually get PtY without a Line. Last two years I only got one pour but could have had multiples. One pour is good for me. Then I usually have some Elder or any one of the awesome Pizza Port beers on tap.

    I wish I could just get some Younger without hassle this year...seems like they have the facility for it now. I only got to try it for the first time last year after standing in line at Churchill's and then in a pretty crowded bar.

    Hopefully I can just get it in LA without a line this year. A dude can only dream. Haze bros back up. Lol

    It’s like going to Chicago and not getting their Chicago deep dish pizza or a Chicago style hot dog or their awesome beef sandwich. :astonished:
