This guy is in the exact same boat (minus the banana). My best guess (based on prior anni release plus how last week went) would be that 5th anni will be fine waltzing up post-line. ACE typically would be in same boat, but I imagine all extra capacity went towards 5th anni - so people who line up to ensure they get the other beers may just buy it cos it’s there and it could sell out in the line (and cos as you say it’s the best beer and we overhype it on here and we really need to shut the fuck up)

that would be nice, particularly if they adopt it on the doubles and triples, which I often could do with 1-2 cans of, expecially when 2-3 are released per week... I don't have a problem buying a whole 4 pack of $14 session tho…

I actually think those are pretty anticlimactic weekday drops.

 

Drank this and blowin up the spot last anniversary release. Im still here. I think.

 

I think my friend is bringing a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th from last year this saturday. Guess we will see how that goes.

 

Is there typically merch for these anniversary releases? Stuff like t-shirts, glassware? If so, wondering how the change in the 5th Annv label art (no more I "heart/oh" NY) will effect merch (especially the glassware). Thanks!

 

not sure but they definitely arent selling stuff with the heart ny logos on it... Milton Glaser LOVES suing people for ripping that one off. my guess is merch with this new cloth lookin thing or no merch at all.

 

Was that debbie downer from the 1st batch? Or the batch that was sold to the public?
Because we never gave out any of the first batch cans and they sat out on a driveway for months and months until a few unfortunate employees had to open them all and dump them. I took home a couple when we canned them so they never got warm.

 

Yeah that's a bummer ... never knew the I "heart" NY logo was so closely guarded as it seems to appear everywhere and not just the NY version.

 

Cost+photoshopped #hazegramps for a pack each of 5th and ACE. Actually 2 ACE so I can bribe @jrnyc not to beat me senseless for the photoshopping.

 

last year im pretty sure they sold a print of the actual 4th anniversary logo without the MDs logo blurred out. Guess we will see

 

Hahahah. I am assuming the actual released batch. I got it from a friend a year or so ago when i was searching out old OH beers.

 

Same guy designed the Brooklyn Brewery "B" Logo.
