Yeah, I remember that. Those were some dark times, man, when you wanted a Gumballhead and knew you wouldn't be able to find it for 5 more months.

Anyway, I'm enjoying a coffee porter from Bier Brewery. I'll probably pick up another growler of it tomorrow if they have any left.

Getting ready for Duke v UK. Started off with a Heady and now I'm craving some barrel-aged goodness. Considering one of these two...

For # two tonight is a Short's, Pontius Road Pilsner that a friend passed to me. I've had before, and not a pils guy really, but really think this is a good one. The carbonation is flat-out scrubbing! Vigorous, hey?

Can't find out how to post pics from smartphone. But I'm sipping an oversized tulip of Upland Teddy Bear Kisses.

We just started carrying Terrapin again. If we don't get this, I'll be upset.

Awesome sauce, aka, New Glarus. Such a well balanced sour. Really drinkable (not a jowl buster), but still really interesting. Long, dry, slightly acidic oaky finish. New Glarus cherry has been popped!

Eidolon is a sour, barrel aged amber farmhouse brewed with meyer lemon peel, jasmine green tea, jasmine flowers and New Zealand Hallertau hops. The beer was allowed to mature on two strains of brettanomyces in red wine barrels, then blended back together and packaged in 750ml capped bottles.
YES PLEASE! Delicious brew, impressed by this and looking forward to trying more by this brewery. And just like cfrances33 I'll be watching "Following" right now, awesome movie. Cheers!

Pushing the envelope on this one, only a week til the 'best by' date so probably about 10-11 weeks old. Definitely a bit subdued hop flavor from how I remember it, but still a damn tasty beer.

Haha I had a feeling that when I posted about an Italian wine that you would have something to say about it! Thank you for the recommendation, I'll start looking for this. That picture is beautiful, I raise my glass to you and your grandfather, cheers!

Is it just me, or has this daily thread turned into "show off your Hill Farmstead glass"?

And I thank you! What can make Christmas hard too, is that it is also his birthday! This is the first year our family will be without him to celebrate. He would have turned 91! I plan to enjoy some Italian craft and a cigar for him!
