Good morning BAs! Another sweltering day here in NW PA with temperatures expected to hit the mid forties.
    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Pleasant but not outstanding.

Cloudy, cool and awaiting the return of the sun for next week. In the meantime I found Rochefort 8. Always a treat.

Granted, I haven’t been drinking for two weeks now and attempting to endure a dry-February. It’s good to impose yourself a diet every now and then until these kind of beer lock eyes on you from the shelves.

I made the mistake of drinking a couple of these after dinner last evening - I was up all night, almost - way better as a breakfast beer - Cheers!

I took off of work to see the Lords of Chaos movie, which was advertised as, "In theatres 2/8." Apparently, this means that it is definitely not in theaters today. So instead of my original plans, I shall enjoy a 2017 KBS bomber!

Helping both kids for the school charity jump rope event today means late work and early beer drinking. Ain't arguing.

These guys are opening for Tool on the second night of an early summer festival. The first night has Ghost and System of a Down. Sounds like a good festival to me.

Back pain gone, I walked dogs for over an hour this morning and did some side streets around the park for something new to sniff...home now and starting my busy, eh hem, day...I am so impressed with this Chicago brewery, Revolution Brewing - a recent addition from my trading partner and friend - “Gravedigger Billy”, a BBA Scotch Ale:

Brown pour at 56 degrees (I take my breakfast beers out of the ‘fridge to warm up while I walk the dogs...it typically takes 45 to 60+ minutes on the counter top to achieve “cellar” temp), but more like a deep, deep amber than a true brown; fast fizzy beige and cola colored cap; excellent clarity; tiny island of micro dots; thin ring; thin legs. 4.5

Sweet malt and bourbon nose, both of which are strong; apple and pear fruit notes, but mostly malt and barrel . 4.75

Flavors of caramel & toffee up front; lite bitter earthy hop middle; sweet caramel candy apple and bourbon; no taste of alcohol; a little vanilla/oak on back end but the finish is predominantly gooey sweet toffee. 4.75

Silky tongue coating; medium full body; moderate minus carbonation; oaky dry barrel feel in the finish; minimal warming for 13.2% ABV. 4.5

Awesome Scotch Ale! Dangerously easy drinking, lite enough to pound and just downright tasty; it’s been a pleasure to let the liquid warm in my glass as the malt, hop, and barrel flavors emerge and co-habitate effortlessly; a dry barrel bourbon oaky linger sits softly on my palate between sips; one of the best BBA Scotch Ales I’ve had to date. 4.75

Thank you @Number1Framer for another Revolution treat! Cheers y’all, and try not to get into trouble today!

Yeah! Ever since I visited the brewery, on your recommendation(!), in 2016, I can’t get enough of Revolution. Cheers!

Crushed one of these late last night, which inspired me today. Plus, it makes a great pairing with lunch!

Five Boroughs Tiny Juicy IPA (4.0% ABV). This is a friendly little son of a bitch, and extremely sessionable. I was very hesitant to pick this up, but I'm glad I went against my gut and cuntitude

Beautiful clear amber gold, white cap with good lacing.

Aroma of floral, spicy hops followed by sweet malt, well integrated and nicely presented.

Taste is a good balance of malt and hops in concert, each working well with the other. The malt and hops interplay so well I can't decide which is most pleasing except to say the combination is working well. Clean finish.

    Good Morning, BA

My “this is what happens when you work from home” beer. Second time with this delightful offering from Taxman and will complete my original rating with a full review.

It is cold, windy and dreary here today. My backyard is a swamp, as it’s been pretty much all Winter, and the squirrels have figured out how to climb up my squirrel proof bird feeder.

5.3% ABV session IPA from Warpigs. Clear and golden color, slightly bitter beer. Really sessionable as one might expect. Happy Friday BA!

and here's that speech again - in case y'all want to check it out again - and listen closely - filmed almost 80 years ago - as poignant now as it ever was......

After shoveling and salting and sanding for eight hours the last few days, all I wanted was a can of Hamm’s.

    This morning, mission accomplished!

Bonus: More white stuff plus some icey stuff plus some POLAR VORTEX~! on the way. Glad I stocked up now!
