Still pissed BlackStack's stack isn't black.

Don't feed the trolls... It was obvious bait so he could whip out the (dim)witty zinger "social justice warrior" comeback again.

Back on topic, put me in the camp that hope this move works out for the brewer and for Hoops own product.

Totally. I fully expect that once "painting weather" has returned, those $16+/4 pk hazy profits finally find their way onto the stack. It's a huge outlay for branding/signage, but it would be cool to have another iconic feature in the neighborhood similar to the old Palen watertower with it's crescent moon.

    RIGHT
I’m okay with the stack not been painted black , and I’ve bought many of their pricey 4-packs but I’m still confused that they still have not figured out that behind the bar setup .

These still use printed beer menus . How difficult is it to add some boards with some beer names and prices ? Lots of underutilized space in 755!

Thank you. If you guys are that mad at me over using that word you must be a fun bunch to hang out with in real life. The comment was a sarcastic joke hence the smiley face I attached. I mean really this is a beer forum, lighten up.

Fine. Put your name and face out there and let the world judge, if you feel that confident about it.

I’ll be more blunt. As the father of 3 girls, as the son of an abused Mother, and someone who has been far more involved in the brewing world than many, including owning and investing in breweries over the years with woman employes who tell absolutely crappy stories and relate experiences of naive sexism, I guarantee you that what you think is just some random funny comment is not.

Now that the monster has been properly executed, can Pitchforks and Torches Nation go back home now so we can get back on topic?

The Growler covers Bus Stop Burgers & Brewhouse in Minneapolis, which is open now as a bar and restaurant but has not started brewing. It will be importing its wort (From New Zealand and Germany? That strikes me as odd.), and only the fermentation will take place on site, à la the individual Granite City locations.* The equipment arrived February 5th, and apparently "brewing" commences on March 1st.

    * Granite City does produce its own wort in Ellsworth, Iowa.

Linked is more information on the SmartBrew system Bus Stop will be using. I looked up Untappd ratings for eight brewpubs that use that system, and all of them receive poor to middling ratings for their beers.

Anyone know when the Minnetonka iteration of Boom Island will open? Will they change the name to Big Island as an ode to the new area?

Also, anyone have details on the ownership/management shake up at Barrel Theory?

    This is interesting.......

Also, anyone try out Under Pressure? Thoughts? Went there last Saturday and I would wait for quite sometime to go back.

That's a pretty good idea. Are they closed now or are they going to build the new joint then open?

Interesting indeed. What happened? I normally dont drink orange juice so I dont keep up....

I went to Under Pressure last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Heavy focus on English Ale type beers, not for the hop heads. Everything I had was quite good and I will be back soon and have what I didn’t get to!

Should also add- I liked the space, unique and unlike anywhere else that I have been. A midevil ish theme, almost a comfortable restaurant type setting.

The Growler covers Pantown Brewing Company in St. Cloud, helmed by a former LynLake brewer. I'll note that, in addition to Pantown, Beaver Island, and Bad Habit (as mentioned in the article), the St. Cloud area features Cold Spring / Third Street and the original Granite City location. Pantown opened in December 2018.
