Ok, the opposite of a new release, but more of a bargain find: Fair State Keller Kazbek pils CASES on sale for $15.96 at Chicago Lake Liquor. Or individual sixers for $5 I think.

 

The Growler has been covering new releases pretty thoroughly in its weekly feature "The Mash-Up."

Forums in general are dying due to easily accessed Facebook groups via a smartphone.

 

Let's try it from another angle then. Zipps is currently blowing out a bunch of different kinds of beer at ridiculously reduced prices. I was there on Friday and saw a variety of Prarie beers (larger format sours) on sale for $2.49 per bottle. Along with that were a bunch of Crooked Stave bottles, Alesmith large format (Wee Heavy) on sale, a bunch of Firestone Walker and lots of other stuff on closeout sales. One of the employees mentioned that they purchased a bunch of stuff just to sell it at silly prices because they knew they would move the product. So check it out if you're looking to try a bunch of stuff and don't want to break the bank.

 

Anyone know when the next round of Bourbon Paradise will hit? February?

Town Hall barrel aged week is coming up soon. I'm going to be in Belgium over the pre-sale day. Anyone who will be there willing to swap me a crowler or two of the stuff that'll sell out for some Belgian stuff pm me.

 

Bummed that this will be the first time I miss Town Hall BA week in many years. Easily my favorite MN beer "event", because it is so chill to grab lunch/dinner and hang out for a couple hours, and I am guaranteed to love a few of the selections every year.

(I'm missing it because I will be in Aruba for the week, so I think I'll be okay)

BA Silhouette spottings in South Metro recently??

 

Was only 4 bottles, but South Lyndale had some Sunday along with a couple cans of the Indeed Neon Espresso whatever.

 

The Vintage in Chanhassen has BA Silhouette. $9.99 12 oz. bottle. They also have a few more bottles of Schram's Troika BA Barleywine for $19.99 a 750 ml (a pretty good beer).

 

I have not seen any info on BA week growler ticket sales. Where was it posted? It's not on their Facebook page anywhere.

 

Also not on their Twitter feed or actual website.

 

I’ll look past this if you have one of their growlers waiting for me when I get back.

 

I also noticed that someone asked about them on the Facebook event page... but they haven't responded in the last few weeks.

 

Untappd has a lot of recent check-ins for bottles of this. Just cracked mine from last year and whoo Nelly its good. Will be keeping an eye out for it!

 

Did MN ever get Firestone Walker Anniversary this year (XXII) or did I miss it in Dec?
