Yeah if anything it would probably make more sense to make wburg the standalone store location if they were going to go that route. But I doubt that’s what’s happening

Just wanted to thank everyone for the entertainment on here this weekend. I'd like to think the anniversary was also a celebration of this thread. I'm blown away by those page view numbers. I never thought of out of towners checking in here, but I guess it makes sense if you're just trying to stay in the loop on releases.

There were multiple times during the 3 hour wait in the cold when I was cursing OH and thinking, they've got to fix this system and make this more efficient. Then I reminded myself that this really only ever happens a couple times a year anymore for say a mega-hyped collab and the anniversary release, so they really don't have much of an incentive to change things.

I will say I was very pleased they at least lowered limits, as I was among the last wave that was able to get 3rd and I Miss the Old OH. Sadly missed out on 4th, but not so sad that I'm going to line up any earlier next year.

The guy in front of me had his wife wait on line while he went in the taproom and tried everything. While I would never submit my significant other to that kind of neglect, I thought a buddy system like that was pretty ingenious. He also came back having had like 3 pours of the banana stout (among other beers,) and gave us his hot takes on the releases. His sleeper, dark horse pick was Double Mmm Fruit, so turns out we all lined up for nothing!

At this point Williamsburg is just the Epcot center of NYC. Afraid of the subway? Have no fear tourist! Williamsburg has an outpost for every trendy place you've seen pictures of on Instagram or heard referenced on Girls.

Of course if I was visiting from out of town and you told me I could go to one neighborhood and hit like 6 breweries (not to mention Torst and some other incredible beer bars/bottleshops) I'd be incredibly psyched.

It will be interesting to see if this pulls a good portion of the weekend crowd away from Gowanus and how this shakes up releases going forward. The article says its going to be a "brewery," so not just a taproom outpost like Threes. Hopefully between this and Rochester it just means more beer to go around and less concentration of crowds. As long as they can keep quality consistent I say more power to them.

This series has been insanely good lately. I had this opposite Cuvee de Wakefield and wasn't sure which I preferred!

Fair enough, I think as much as anything when buying $22 four packs, I am asking myself...
1)Can I taste enough if a difference to justify buying nearly a case of these.
    2) Are my cans off in some way because of something I did (that is, they sat in my car for a couple hours and while it's a 10 percent beer that should survive 30-32 degree weather for that brief a time, it was coming from being with me indoors kept at room temp... Can't be GREAT for the beer compared to direct refrigerator transfer).

As for self control I agree, I doubt those I have will make it past next weekend, especially with visitors. Maybe I'll hide a few to ensure I try one 2, 3, and 4 wks out of only to contribute something of use to people curious if they should be holding any in reserve.

So is $18 for florets - a 6.6% seemingly non-DDH IPA over priced?

Or is $18 for dream layers - a 8% oat cream seemingly non-DDH DIPA under priced?

    OH pricing is always fun.

Hidden option C: $18 for Daydream Layers is overpriced.

Also note that they've stopped using the word "lactose" in their IG posts in favor of "milk sugar."

Wonder what the rationale is. Pastry boi pandering? Anti-'tose avoidance? The world may never know.

I don't really think your small changes in temp are really affecting your beer that much, IMO. Temps were cold if you left it in your car for extended periods, but not cold enough to freeze it. Even then, it might not change that much. Small fluctuations aren't damaging beer as much as multiple extreme changes over periods of time. Also light damages beer worse than temp

They're going to nail this beer one of these days. I think the last issue was just TOO much vermont yeast flavor that was really off putting. If they can dial that back a bit, we could have a really good beer! Some of their vermont yeast beers have been among my favorite, OG Green Power, The Other Day, OKBK, and a few others.

Opened my bottle of All 5th Stout w/ Bananas and if I drowned in a bathtub of this I think that would be a pretty good way to go.
