Secondary is not always equal to trade value.

 

Ignore the Value Cop. Typically the only benefit of chiming in on someone else's trade with value evaluations is to ruin the chances of the other person making that trade OR to attempt to raise the value for their own gain. I think it's a fair offer*. Good luck.

No ulterior motive bud. Literally the reason comments are active in trade forums is to provide feedback. I'm trying to help OP close by providing advice ( albeit unsolicited).

Full disclosure I am from STL and personally have both bottles. It serves no purpose for me to lower the value of one or raise the value of the other lol. I have a very good bead on what its taking to close BBT and this exact trade has been posted multiple times without success elsewhere and these are for IP trades in a majority of the cases (which should be easier to close). Take that information and do with it what you choose. Not only that but this trade has some venn diagram issues as well, but I won't delve deeper into that.

If this does in fact close 1:1- please let me know.

Side note: is the BBT2 that much different than BBT1? I just got a BBT1 and will just sit and stare at the thing.

 

Oh I assumed you had both bottles. And I understand why there are active comments. But the second you start throwing around evaluations in his feed you virtually kill his trade. If you want to be a good guy then send him a private message. Rather than making sure that everyone else thinks that his bottle isn't good enough. He might have gotten lucky and found someone that had 2 BBTs and was kicking themselves for missing the BA Coco Vibes release. But now that person will think twice because they think the trade isn't worth it. Just sayin.

 

The OP in fact did himself without prompt, alert to the fact that even secondary is off (which to me isn't an indicator). I simply said its taking a plus to land BBT B2, which is true. so...

Fair enough on the private message comment- but again, why do comments exist on here if not to provide feedback or have a conversation about the trade at hand? You claim you understand this, but I'm not seeing that. I provided feedback respectfully and didn't say anything rude. Both are fantastic beers either way.

 

General consensus locally is that BBT 2 is a little better than BBT B1. They are both amazing beers either way- I opened a BBT B1 on-site in November and its faded a little bit from when it was fresh, Also had it again though on draft at Zwanze and it tasted phenomenal... It was still outstanding both times, but as expected better on draft. I would drink it sooner than later though if possible. BBT 2 is a bit sweeter/chocolatey versus BBT 1, which I personally prefer. Thank you for this...It seems like BBT 2 has spent much longer time in barrels and in more barrels than BBT 1. Wish I lived near STL! They are producing some seriously good beers.

Well for like 20 seconds once a day since i obtained it in a trade. Gotta wait to open it with a few people around since it's 15% and 24oz. I want to share that whale with someone.
I did the same with KBBS B4, but wish I had shared that one too.
