FT: BA Coco vibes 2pts Need to know history on OG BCBS. Handjee 18 plus rare is preference.

    ISO:
    Handjee 18- 1.5pts
    VR- 1pt
    OG Rare- 1.25pt
    OG Nilla- 1.25pt
    Rare 15- 0.5pt
    OG Bramble- .75pt
    BYR- .75pt

I've had an offer for 4 rares but not sure if I want to go that direction. If over on points I can add.

I'd still think Shared would need to add for a Handjee. At best Handjee secondary is going 1:1 for BA Coco, and that's if you're lucky. It's often significantly higher than that, by about a Rare 15.

Here is my .02 on why personally I don't believe Handjee 18 and BA Coco Vibes should be 1:1. It may even be a better argument on why Handjee may be over valued.

First I would think there are WAY more Handjee 18 out there than BA Coco. Second I find it hard to believe that 3Floyds, as big as they are, use top notch ingredients/adjuncts in their beer compared to side project. Third most "scoff" at the base beer, Dark Lord as not being that good. I think it's a decent RIS, but it is just not as popular as it used to be. Why? IDK, has the recipe changed over the years? All the base shared vibes stouts are top notch and demand a premium. No one wants Darklord anymore. Lastly I love coconut and personally value a coconut stout over a vanilla stout.

So maybe this would be best in it's own thread, but what about 3Floyds barrel aging program make these BA Darklord variants so sought after/valuable? Is it mainly the OG demand/rarity? The luck of the draw to buy one from 3Floyds? You would have to agree that the variants were way more valuable and sought after a few years ago.

But hey perhaps I'm being a homer

Almost entirely what you wrote is speculation and opinion. But hey, it's your opinion and you're willing to trade what you're willing to trade... nothing wrong with that. Personally, I'd never trade Handjee '18 for a BA Coconut Vibes because of my own opinion.

But to trash a beer you're trying to trade for and at the same time gush over the one you're trading away... well, that doesn't make a lot of sense now does it?

Did I trash Handjee 18 in my post? That was certainly not the intent.

You didn't just trash it, you wrote a dissertation suggesting it was bad, should have basically no value, and even said you prefer coconut stouts over vanilla stout. Man, this reeks of the elitism that makes beer trading suck these days.

I don't get it. That is my opinion on why I think they are not 1:1. Am I foolish for sharing my thoughts?

I was just poking fun of your username.

I def see these beers closer to 1:1, regardless of your commentary, based off recent movement.

I’m just being silly, definitely would think 1:1 at best on that Handjee, but the 2 VR for BA Coco Vibes certainly seems like a fair request

    I said I think Darklord is a fine/decent RIS, I'd say 4/5.

Says the guy that’s been trying to unload his “top notch” brew for #maxprofitzbrah before he even had it.

To each there own. Seems like people are trying to offload their bottles for max profits as much as people are ISO.

This makes me want to not trade for BA Coco Vibes (yes, I’ve had posts out there looking for one but well before seeing evidence of such St Louis elitism).

Can't believe I have ruffled so many feathers by not valuing my beer for what it razzles for currently. Forgive me for over valueing my beer.

Beer value does fluctuate sometimes, right? Could people decide in a few months to pay more per square for a chance to win this beer, LOL? Would i be foolish then?

Why is KBBS a 1k beer? Why is TWCP maman a 1k beer? Who decided this value and did they get roasted for suggesting their beer was worth more than another beer?
