Evil Twin NYC Brewery (2019)

I may have been more dubious if this was their first released stout, but the beers out of the new brewery have been solid.

Side note, I love the phone in and pick-up option.

 

Anyone try the Sey coffee Porter?

Yeah, I grabbed cans last week. It's really good. The coffee is nice and what'd you'd want in a beer like this, but coffee tasting notes are so delicate that a lower abv beer like the one Root + Branch did is probably a better beer to showcase specific beans.

The coffee does do a good job of balancing the other malts in the beer though. The beer is also not too sweet which is what I prefer generally. $20 for a 4-pack feels like a steal these days.

 

I feel like its pretty ironic that right after the OJ picture post, they go and drop a Butterfinger Stout and a Pina Colada Sour. Both of them do sound kinda good though.

 

Butterfinger is one of my fav candy bars so kinda tempted

 

I think like in most other breweries the social media division doesn't talk to the brewing division. One day we're damning IPAs for looking like OJ, or the other way around, not really sure. The next day we're putting actual whole candy bars in canned beer and posting pictures of pineapple and coconut juice beer. Whatever!!! The weekends here!!

 

I mean Jeppe himself runs the original ET Insta and I'm pretty sure he's involved in recipe creation although probably not brewing anymore.

 

Random question but don't think I've seen it answered. Does anyone know if you have to purchase by the 4pk or can purchase singles?

Anyone try their Butterfinger and Heath bar stouts yet? Both look inredibly decadent and delicious.

 

check the evil twin instastory, its got photos of bottles. he is notttt fucking around. the horus, j wakefield, eq, and root and branch collabs have all been total slappers to far.

 

Agreed but selling tickets for collabs that are 8 month out is a little much...

 

Twelve limited collabs with some of the best breweries in the game that I can pick up all with one trip to queens anytime in December that’s convenient for me?

How big are the bottles? $180 / 12 = $15 per bottle. No way they can be 750ml T that price, right?

Pulled the trigger too, $16.10 per bottle which is in line with other local breweries. Also no waiting in line, which is great especially for a Collab list this strong.

 

Oh yeah, dont get me wrong, I grabbed a case too, I just think its a little early.

 

ditto..hard to say no to that lineup!

 

Think any of these spend time in a barrel, or not at that price?
