I'm almost confused. I love OH and Grimm, and will happily pick up 4 packs at both on a semi frequent basis - but in both cases, it's the most expensive place to buy beer (aside from Singlecut, who's pricepoints are insane). How are you saving $3/can buying $20/four packs at OH? The one 4 pack I did pick up of Psuedo Sue so far was $12.99. That's way cheaper than I've ever seen ANY local NYC anything... what am I missing? I'll still buy the NYC stuff, cuz it's good, I like drinking local etc... but I'm certainly not doing it to save money...

Toppling Goliath at that price throws a monkey wrench into that math, but most of the bottle shops around me charge at least $6-7 for stuff like Interboro, Grimm, Singlecut, KCBC, Finback, etc., so a 4 pack of that may come out to $30 after tax, as opposed to $18-$20 at the brewery.

Is this gonna make its way east to Long Island? I’m beginning to think no. I’d like to at least try their beer. I’m not driving into Brooklyn for it though.

Sarene claims to distribute to all of New York State (as well as a number of neighboring states, tho' likely their available brands vary by state).

Click on their link for Toppling Golaith, tho', and you get "404 Not Found" (too recent an added brand?).

Sarene usually doesn’t make it to LI. All those years I worked in Manhattan I definitely got beers (and paid that 212 upgraded price) I didn’t see on LI. I think Fine Fare in Copaigue may get it. And that’s a may.

$13 is a great price. Checking beermenus, the cheapest you can find it seems to be $4 a can and up in most of the NYC bottle shops. At $16/4 pack before tax, that puts it pretty close to the $18/4 pack that OH charges for their single IPAs.

I now pick up what you're laying down. Yes. Buying singles of the local stuff at bottle shops is definitely more than at the breweries, so I get what you're saying, definitely saving at the breweries vs the bottle shops. We'll see how TG keeps things priced, but I was able to get it at a grocery store (C-Town) in a four pack, vs singles in a bottle shop. My guess is if I start seeing Pseudo Sue in bottle shop singles, it will be priced more in that $7 range

The Pseudo Sue and Hopsmack are both pretty fresh, the Pompeii and Golden Nugget I saw are from mid-December. I guess ymmv but i didn’t get those.

Yeah, it's maybe a dollar cheaper in Minneapolis, where I just spent some time, so that's a great price. Hopefully you'll get some fresh King Sue in NY. One of my all-time favorites.

I'm feeling like this is absolutely one top-notch beer regardless of how it's classified. I was expecting a Zombie Dust clone but this is a Julius killer. I'm talking about the standard citra-hopped Pseudo Sue.

$13.99 a four pack in Orange County NY, brewed 1/25/19.

This brew destroys anything Equilibrium cranks out and is substantially less expensive than anything other than the Photon variants.

Hopefully we keep getting this beer, it's a genuine pleasure.

Sosus cans just popped up on Beermenus for $6.50 a can at Clinton Gourmet, which usually has decent prices. Yikes

With so much beer on the shelves and such great local options, seems to me the only way TG can compete is on price. This kind of pricing will doom them. Distributor needs to get those prices under control. On principal alone there is no way I would fork over $6.50 for a can.

That's some high praise. I think EQ has been killing it with dc/dt and its followups.

I haven't picked up any TG stuff, but I'll have to seek some out.

Had a Pseudo Sue can last week and agree it's really good and on par with the best fresh local stuff in NY/NJ. And any ridiculous pricing is on the retail shops not the distributors. If Cable can sell a 4 pack for $13.99 there's no excuse for $6+ cans anywhere.

Got a 4 of Psuedo Sue for $14. Well worth it. This is a fantastic beer that I will revisit if we continue to get fresh batches.

Huh, when I had my can, it actually reminded me a lot of ZD, which I found exciting because I love ZD. Lol

Have to disagree, I find Zombie Dust to be a cleaner and more classic expression of the style, while Pseudo Sue is more of a hazy-ish juice bomb. Both great beers, no question.

Gun to my head I prefer Zombie but this beer is fantastic and we're really lucky to finally get a shot at it.
