No worries at all. When we arent bemoaning lactose and lines, we're here to help!

They'll likely post an instagram story at noon with whats available and I doubt anything sells out in that hour or so until you get there.

Let us know if there's anything ele we can help with!

Real og other half fans remember their ipa’s without oats as well. Damn I miss OG GD, AGE, HS. Doesn’t mean I hate on the second and third wave other half.

And HVB brewed an awesome and dank double IPA called king wavy when I first went up there. Wouldn’t mind seeing them go outside their comfort zone. Or an OH/HVB collab.

I had a fun conversation with Dave at the brewery and he said they had a bit of a conversation regarding the recent anniversary rereleases. Do they rebrew them as they were originally or more in line with how they brew now? Ultimately they decided to go OG, but it would be fun to taste side by side.

I can't make it the week before and then the week after is Diabetes City so I think that @RobNewton and @SpinSamzo couldn't make it at the very least.

That's a great point. When did oats become the norm?

At the risk of sounding like a new money lacto-chugging haze boi - while I do agree that there are (often) times where there’s some unnecessary oat/lacto/cryo’ing happening, give me most of the current offerings over OG AGE / Green Diamonds any day. Hop Showers though is obviously sacrosanct (although - ahem - maybe some of the more recent iterations have been the best there too)

Yeah my last sentence is in agreement with you. Not sure though og age was a different piney/juicy beast and I hate the fact it’s not around more than once a year even though I love the latest batch.

Lol looking at my old untapped checkins for AGE the 09/27/15 batch had ‘no pumpkin anything’ on the bottom of the can.

Now they’d brew a imperial milk stout with pumpkin, sweet potato, almonds, pecans, fruity pebbles, coco crisps, count chocula, 5 different hand picked vanilla beans, and wild Vietnamese bananas.

    (And I’d buy it)

I honestly can't remember if we had this discussion in 2017 or early 2018 because the last few years have rotted my brain, but a few people crunched the numbers in a 6-8 month period and at the time I think only around 25% to 35% were lactose beers, which really wasn't bad considering how often drops occurred. I imagine that percentage has ticked up quite a bit in the last few months, so I can see why people are pretty ticked. Even though I generally enjoy the lactose beers it does become excessive.

I suspect that study would've found lactose was less common at the start and more common towards the end.

Did OH ever release an original version of a beer at the same time as the daydream variant?
Throw in a DDH version for the same release, and you'd have an interesting triangle test....

I've disliked lactose since the second time I drank a TH Milkshake. The first time I had a milkshake I thought "Wow that's interesting." The second time I had one I couldn't drink more than a few sips.

It's a gimmick that's ran it's course, but hazebros drink the stuff intravenously. So it'll stick around for a while since it helps pay for expansions.

So if you had an ACE and a Double Citra Daydream, you could crush the former but would be dry heaving after a few sips of the latter? My palate is so basic

Seriously I really think this lactose hate is being overdone. People are essentially making candy bar beers these days. Lacto crusading is low priority. We NEED to get that blind taste test going on March 9. OH overlords please make sure there’s a good selection of tose / no tose on tap on the 9th

I've never had a TH Milkshake, but do we know if OH uses different levels of lactose in different beers? I haven't had a ton of lactose OH beers, but of the ones I've had I found Citra Daydream and Mylar Daydream to be solid despite the lactose. On the other hand, something like Daydream In Green, Space Daydream or more recently Double Infinity Daydream are almost undrinkable to me because of how sweet they are.

That being said, it's been a while since I had Citra or Mylar Daydream. I wonder how I would feel about them today.

I think we should adjust the nomenclature here.

Hazebros isnt appropriate for lactose lovers...the brew is still hazy sans lactose. Ima suggest Tosebros going forward.

ACE and Double Citra are both on right now! Everybody check in at OH and report back please.

Also that's another killer weekday release.
