Bissell Brothers (2019)

Well, I bought a case for $102 (plus deposit) so perhaps they just made a mistake.

 

ha-thanks anyways and it is exactly that "spiciness" I am interested it. I am wondering if recent batches have had the balance of earthy spiciness and thick juicy goodness that it has had in the past. A good Lux is definitely also one of my favorites.

 

That's still one of my favorites from them. I haven't noticed a difference from old batches but I only started having it more often with their distro to Kittery. Lower abv, juicy/piney hops, malt complexity, it has it all.

No they’ve been doing this for a long time. I’ve bought many $96 cases of swish back when the four pack price was $17. I’ve never seen it advertised and it may not even be a consistent policy as much as the check out person doing a solid, but it’s happened to me many times.

 

If this is true, it’s absurd just to save $6. Seems like a numbers issue with them.

Board said $18. I was charged $18.20.

 

For those wondering, there’s virtually nobody here at 10:15 so I wouldn’t worry about Swish running out quickly. They let us wait inside, which is the length of the line.

 

Case limits though. Lot of people maxing out...

same buddy had a can of Lux at a spot in Manhattan this weekend. Seems it's gaining steam.

 

Yep got there at 2:30 and still many cases left though they did sell out about 4:00.

 

they've had trouble moving everything at the brewery, has been pretty quite..

What are the odds that some cans of Preserve and Protect from the Friday 2/15 release rollover into the Tuesday 2/19 Swish release? Loved that beer 1st time I tried it on tap and would like to get some in cans if possible (but can't make it to the brewery till 2/19).

 

I don't go there often enough to have a good answer for you but I can say that I went to the Swish release on 1/26 and they still had cans of Nuclear Whim from their 1/19 release. I am also on the Bier Cellar mailing list and they got a drop of HTFGATT yesterday, which was released at the brewery on 2/9. From that I would say your chances are good but you never know.

 

Did they have it?

 

Yep, got all the Swish and P&P I wanted, in and out in 15 minutes. I guess I'll have to try to plan my Bissell trips for midweek releases if possible.

 

There was also a small amount of reciprocal left from the 2/12 release.

 

From their Instagram post today, "Swish (rolling over just north of 100 cases!)." I'd say you have a shot of it being available to start the day tomorrow. They started the day before with about 175 cases, detailed in previous insta post.
