I remember people asking about it a while ago, and year to year comparisons can be fun, so a heads up that there's stacks of both 2017 and 2018 Anchor Steam Christmas at Liquor Junction in Woburn for $9.99.

Not sure what the story is with having the old stuff still around and charging neither less (because its old) nor more (because it's "aged") for it. I haven't had it in years, does it age well?

Traditionally it's one of the few low ABV beers you can age, supposedly because of the spices added to it. However, the recipe does change year to year (and sometimes the ABV, this year's tasted more strong-ale like to me and clocked in at 6.7%, whereas most years usually sit at 5.5%).

Personally I aged them for many years, and never really noticed much of a difference, aside from keeping them for too long and noticing oxidation.

Wow, I didn’t know the cuvee was seeing distro now. I’ve had past cuvees and reserves of their’s and they are outstanding.

Picked up four packs of 16oz cans of Allagash White and River Trip at Wegmans (both canned on 1/31). New format aside, not sure if I’ve ever had White three weeks young. Looking forward to both!

Well, I tried one last night. I liked it, didn't love it, but I had it after a nugget nectar so maybe that impacts things.

Unlike you I was expecting an "irish cream" experience when I first saw it. Personally, I think the base stout flavors got a bit too overpowered. What I can't decide is if it's the Bailey's components or the Jameson casks themselves coming through a lot. It actually tastes quite Jameson-y (duh), which I've always considered a fairly sweet whiskey.

I'll revisit my other cans over the next few months.I do like having a BBA stout in the 8% range.

Picked up some River Styx stuff just now. Venom of Cerberus & Typhon Father of All Monsters. Untappd ratings are very high.

Also, Double Citra Four Seam & Double Crossroader from Idle Hands.

Please give feedback on the River Styx stuff you got when you try it. Been very curious about their beer.

Turnpike Market in Billerica had cans yesterday, picked up a can of each. Tried the Typhon yesterday and was very impressed. Looking forward to the Cerberus tonight.

Has anyone else tried the Bamburana collab between Oskar Blues and Cigar City? Grabbed a couple of cans from the 7-11 in Kittery... it's phenomenal. Definitely the most complex barrel aged stout I've had come out of a can. Grabbing some more this week before people catch on...

I saw draft releases at Armsby Abbey. Bottles coming too and on the regular? Must’ve missed the news.

Entered NY in January via Union, with bottles hitting/sitting on the shelves: might be more limited with Longbow
