    19.2 oz sir.

They did raise the price for Mocha and I think I know why it was a failure. They added a bunch of cold-brew coffee and cholaca. The guy I talked to said cholaca is very expensive and made it the most expensive batch of beer they have ever made.

But on top of that, adding all that stuff to the base beer watered it down, also decreasing the body and ABV. It also diminished the barrel character.

At least the price came back down after that.

Cholaca is stupid expensive. Shit costs more than CBS, lol.

You guys aren't joking about this BA Oatmeal Stout from Finkel and Garf.

    Shit is legit.

@Ispeakforthetrees I think your store is now out.

Visiting from the Midwest and thankfully checked out this thread beforehand.

Can attest that Finley and Garf BA oatmeal is really damn good, on par with the heavy hitters we see in Chicago.

Has a depth and richness which belies it’s ABV, the sweetness on the nose is prevalent but doesn’t overpower the beer at all. Well done!

Anybody know where the Finkel & Garf BA stout is currently available? I haven't seen it in Fort Collins, but I know they might distribute to the Loveland/Longmont areas.

Nice tip. Picking up a can or two of the Finkel & Garf BA Oatmeal Stout after work at my local place in Boulder.

They had it at Wyatt’s last weekend. Personally, liked the Oatmeal Stout much more.

I saw the F&G stout yesterday, then saw four packs of the new OB Bamburana stout sitting nearby for a couple bucks less. I wnt with the OB, and after having one, have zero regrets. It's kind of a crazy beer, it smells like a pumpkin stout or maybe vanilla Mexican chocolate stout, but the spicy flavors are not over the top. I really like it, but then again, I've had a billion beers that I went nuts over the first time I had them, then cooled off on the second time I had them.

I just did the exact same thing but walked out with Backwoods Bastards instead. The adjuncts in the OB kinda turned me off, but I may have to find a can.

Not sure how well known this is, but the OB location in Boulder sells some of the Cigar City Catador line-up via retail. Those aren't normally available. I think CC just sends them a ton for member pick-ups and they can sell what's left. If big stouts flavored with or aged in who knows what are your jam, those are about as good as they come.

I'm not a fan of dates or figs so I was a little skeptical, but figured the bourbon and cognac aging would make up for it. I was right, I got no specific date/fig taste, maybe they added some sweetness in the background, but the cognac aging could do that too. What I liked was the distinct cinnamon flavor it had, without that being one of the adjuncts. Apparently, the cinnamon comes from the Amburana spirals. Otherwise, it's a thick, rich full BA imp stout. I ended up grabbing a 4-pack from OB Boulder and will probably grab another when I come across it.

Definitely surprised to hear there isn’t actually cinnamon in it! This beer is okay imo.. incredibly sweet, probably too much... flavors were somewhat muddled. Happy to have tried it, but its definitely not for me.

I feel like Cigar City has their adjunct game dialed in better than most. Just about all of their beers still taste like a beer and not just a sugary dessert. They're kind of like the Bruery, but a little less boozy and definitely less sweet. I still don't care for Huna (it tastes burnt), but I've enjoyed most of their other stuff for what it is.

I bought a Prowler of Avery Sandy Claws and the peppermint is more noticeable than in the bottles. Cocoa and Bourbon present and accounted for. Lovely sipper.

I bought a 12oz bottle of this back around Xmas last year I think. Didn't care for it much and the peppermint was strong enough I almost thought I was drinking peppermint schnapps. :astonished:
