Anyone know when Foam Top went from a cream ale to a blonde ale and what in the recipe changed?

 

From what I understand it was purely a marketing move. People didn't know what a cream ale was or had misconceptions about it, so they changed the branding to a blonde ale

I think they had them at BW LB last time I was there (even though they weren't on the hop cam). If not, I saw some at the Wabi Sabi market near BW LB the other day, too.

I thought Pablo was okay. Noticed there was no mention of Portola as coffee collaborator.

Their new dunkle is fucking delicious. I'm glad they're back to experimenting with styles they don't do much

 

Agree on both latter points. And the fridge was well stocked with Pablo.

Not sure what to feel yet about the shuffle board and the new cafeteria seating outside.

X-Factor was pretty tasty too. I've not had Strata (?) hops much, but I enjoyed what I had of it last night.

 

Had Thrillseeker last night, I thought the hops were somewhat mellow, but maybe all the Amalgamator has messed up my recollection of that IPA.

Greg did mention that there's a bunch of new IPAs we should see on tap at Seal either today or the weekend.

 

I know that Lite Brite is on the coming soon board at BWLB, which I'm super stoked for...it's one of my favorites that they don't brew very often
