The state definitely got less this year, and there was obviously way more demand (sounds like a trend....). Hopefully Founders come through on the promise of increasing production by a lot for next year.

Where is the south shore/south of Boston KBS love?

Well, even if there is 3x the amount in 2013, Mass in 2012 still saw less than half of its 2011 allotment, and demand is probably twice as high, and more Founders is going to other states... I figure if we're lucky in 2013 we're in the same boat as 2011, and that's probably best case scenario. I think the ship has sailed on KBS ever being easy to obtain unless the craft bubble pops.

South of Boston always seems to get releases a few days after other areas for some reason.

They have/will. The expansion is complete and the beer is already brewed. How much we see next year remains to be seen as demand is surely going to increase if not remaining at the current extreme level of insanity.

New forum quirk. I read your post, and was going to reply to it, and then I saw the quoted post in the reply was different than the original. I refreshed and realized it was because you edited, and you said pretty much exactly what I was going to add as a reply. So this post is meaningless now haha.

Had it on tap at The Farmhouse in Burlington last night, $10/10oz - a bit pricey but I'm not planning on getting any bottles this year.

March 15th was the National release day. Craft Brewers made special deliveries to get certain key accounts their allotment. South Shore accounts who are getting it (from L. Knife), will most likely get on their next regular delivery day.

Any guess on how many people will show up at Craft Beer Cellar tonight for their 5pm release of 24 bottles? I am guessing 10x, so 240.

Gordon's in Waltham still had some as of an hour ago. ($5.99 a bottle too)

Good Luck to those still in the hunt!

Grabbed a bottle so I can do the 2010, 2011, 2012 KBS vertical this year!

Word is the entire greater South Shore area only got 2 cases. Curtis got 4 bottles total. I'm at peace with my lack of KBS this year.

Just heard from a few places after calling around during my lunch hour. Sounds like some stores/shops are really pissed. Places that say they do a lot of Founders business (at least in their opinion) are fed up with the allotment system. A couple shops even went so far as to say that they were promised allotment of certain beers after not getting in on earlier releases (not getting any Blushing or CBS, one store manager said he was told that Crum. Better Half and KBS would go to him) and still not getting in on recent shipments. Sounds like some are going to stop selling all Founders as a result as they feel jerked around. One guy said that Founders is dictating stores to a certain level through the distributor too, which I found odd, but who am I to call the guy a liar.

These are good shops too, not just a local packy that has a cooler door and a random shelf of craft in the corner.
