Per Russian River staff, it's pronounced with a long I vowel sound. Pliney like piney. But as they also told me...tomato/tomahto. Would you like a pint or a pitcher?

Gaius Plinius Secundus (23 AD – August 25, 79 AD), better known as Pliny the Elder, was a Roman blah blah blah..

    PLINIus in eyetalian is 'pleenee'

I've been drinking beer for, let me check my watch, 48 years. I also like being a relative newbie.

Whenever I don't know how to pronounce a fancy foreign beer, I just go for my best French from my one year in 8th grade.

Okay here's mine (before I make a fool of myself): Pronunciation of heady topper: is it heedy topper or heddy topper?

I don't even like beer. I'm trying to develop a taste for it though.

You're just a whipper snapper..........:grimacing: Had my first Bud, God knows how long ago, had Coors when it was "first introduced to the east" in the early 80's, that was a huge deal, as any "Smokey and The Bandit" fan could tell you, had my first Coors light a a long time after that when I started getting fat:grinning:!

Only after much suffering can one truly appreciate the beers of today! I'm pretty sure Yoda said that in-between takes on the set of Empire:slight_smile:!

Have not purchased any of those beers in over 10 years. I did have Bud Light this summer at a friends surprise birthday party when his sons were proud to offer it to me "on-tap" and I did not wish to be rude. Harmless, "beer" flavored, fizzy, yellow water, didn't kill me, still had fun.

I am still a noob floating in the endless sea of new craft beers. Speaking of that, time to crack open another Narwhal!

Up until recently, I was under the impression that the lace also included any residual bubbles on top of the beer after the head dies down.

Been drinking craft beer since '02 or so, but my venture into reviewing said beer was birthed less than a year ago. I've learned so much in that time.

Yep. I pronounce it 'Ho Garden'. I know that it's wrong, and I don't care. It's fun to say.

It must be high in alcohol because it's triple hops brewed.
