Brouwerij West (2019)

When you planning to head to the tasting room Bud? I'm going tomorrow at noon.

 

I'm hoping to get there as close to opening as possible on Friday, I have a meeting in Culver City at 10 am and was aiming to drop in on my way back to our LB office.

Holy crap Three Times is good. Huge Nelson profile but still crushable for a DIPA. I may have a new favorite Brouwerij West beer

 

Hoping to swing by tomorrow before the anniversary is in full swing to pick up cans. Was there a bunch of folks down there picking up cans or nah?

 

When I got there a little before 1pm there was maybe 25 people in the brewery total, two or three in line buying beer.

This is absolutely a must for any Nelson heads out there. The nose is insanely aromatic, its got that dank musty earthy vineous thing going on. Classic Nelson flavor profile from over ripe tropical fruits to that grapey white wine notes all on a super soft creamy body. IMO a few of their beers, Ask The Dust, 8 1/2 Citra and Falling Water are as good as anyone's take on NEIPA but this one is simply in a league of it's own, as a self confessed Nelson ***** I put this up there with some of the very best locally brewed Nelson hopped beers I've ever had.

I can say with certainty this is my favorite BW beer, the aromatics alone are worthy of the price of admission. Good gawd.

I got my two four packs at 12:15. I can't wait to crack them. Loved the pour I had at the bar. The Nelson beers this year has proven to me that I can obsess over a single hop to insane levels. This and Broadcasting Live have made the Nelson hop glorious to me.

 

I got there at opening. There was a group of 10 that was on a tour inside the facility. In the 45 minutes there people were in and out either buying to go or hanging for a pint or 2. Three Times was pretty damn good on draft. Will open one of the cans today to compare. But this one will definitely open up even more in the next few weeks. Get em before there gone.

 

Damn, didn’t know you were there. I was probably off to the side by the tanks talking to @Vito_Goes_West and then at the end of the bar before heading out.

 

Anyone hit up the 3rd Anny party today ? Was hoping to squeeze a little time out of my day to stop in but with the weather and Saturday stuff I never got over the bridge. Did they sell out Three Times yet ?

I'm going to try Vito, just missed you and David yesterday when I dropped in to pick up beers. Do you think cans may last until tomorrow at open if I don't get a chance to " celebrate" tonight ?
