Pretty damn good haul today. Not an IPA in the house for this guy.

-Notch The Standard (Czech Pale Lager)
    -Lamplighter Barley Smalls (Vienna Lager)
-Sam Smith's now in cans! (Nut Brown and Organic Pure Lager)
-Jack's Abbey Heavy Trommel (Baltic Porter)

I think breweries are finally getting it in terms of brewing more traditional styles and NOT New England IPAs.

Had to stop myself from buying Allagash River Trip because I have so much beer in the fridge now (including Allagash White cans).

It's really well done. I actually enjoyed it more than hoppy table beer.

Can we all stop railing on the NEIPA. I know lagers are like a musician’s musician or a comic’s comic. I still love the style and the fact that it materialized after a long time of brewing beer. It deserves respect for that alone.

I’m done. I just couldn’t take it anymore. As you were.

Well I didn’t say I didn’t like them. I have Double Citra Four Seam in my fridge right now. And below is my post from the other day asking if there was any River Styx left.

I just like when there’s a wider variety of styles on the shelves.

Where'd you grab The Standard out of curiosity? I love that beer so much.

    Ball Square Liquors in Somerville.

    It’s arguably my favorite beer.

CBC Newton has a bunch left right now, too. Went and grabbed some this afternoon.

One of the better Czech Pils I've had recently. Though Quiet Life from Fox Farm still takes the cake--absolutely incredible beer.

Striking out on finding it the Framingham area. Checked 4 stores. To top it off Sudbury Craft Beer says they don't even carry Notch at all anymore, nobody ever bought it.

    Gather is even better IMO.

It’s sad, I’ve also found MetroWest is a tough area to find Notch’s more limited releases.

Going to be heading east from Western Mass. Tuesday for a food trade show. Was hoping to get some feedback on any Eastern Mass. only beers I could grab while out there. Any specific bottle shops I should go to? Any sought after beers I should look out for? Any feedback would be awesome!

Sounds like me and people from Sudbury wouldn't be friends.

Northeastern University but am able to go to and from Rte. 2 or I-90 so those would be the two potential routes.

Exhibit A is about 15 minutes off I-90 in Framingham and close to Jacks Abby/Springdale - all three are worth a stop. Mystic, Lamplighter, and Idle Hands aren't along either route, but distro in greater Boston and are worth picking up. If you're into sessions beers, Notch's speciality beers have been floating around the area lately and all have been awesome (The Standard, Black Lager, and Raw Power).

I'm not too familiar with the packie/bottleshop situation west of downtown, but I'm sure others can provide suggestions. If you find yourself in the Seaport, Fort Point Market is one of the best one-stop spots in town.

Not session beers, but their Voll Projekt is out too. Helles Spezial should be easy to find, I've only seen the IPA in one store so far, sold out pretty fast at others I think.

Colonial is right off rt 2 in Acton and gets most of the stuff from the state at a price better than CBC or places in the city.
