How does it compare (taste, etc) to the original OH west coast IPA that was on tap everywhere (before Green City became their draft IPA)?

Nothing yet as far as we’re aware, the releases are them sending beer up there from Brooklyn.

Couldn't tell ya. Don't remember that older beer very well and I only had a taster of the new one, so not a good place for comparison.

The can I had last night was clear by OH standards. Looked similar to a Kolsch in color. Lighter straw color.

    I really enjoyed it

How many calories is that? I only drink beers with 600+ calories so that's an easy pass for me.

Thumbs up for the west coast ipa. Thumbs down for the golden oat ale.

Here to say the new Hop Showers is liquid gold. Carry on.

Drinking the Gold Bangles now. I think it’s solid. Nice to have a hoppy OH beer at 5.4% ABV. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m about to crack open the 16% Deep Orbit Bottle. Jk.

way late to the party here, but having the Twice Baked 5th Anny edition..thankfully the lactose is very minimal. Drinking pretty well, with more subtle, higher toned hops....

@rozzom was hoping you were at the post OH Sixpoint meetup yesterday since you weren’t banned from there (yet).

Any quick takes on the new Stacks on Stacks? Worth braving the storm to try and pick up tomorrow?

Drinking it as we speak and it’s as good as ever. It still has the typical tropical juicy character that most of their dipas do but it’s also super vegetal and even a little malty.

Stacks on Stacks is awesome. Have had the last 2 batches and both have been great. It has this really nice juicy grapefruit flavor with nice level of bitterness/dank. One of their more unique tasting beers I think where the hops are still center stage and not muted by lactose or anything else. Pretty un hyped but I’d be happy to have it around more often.

It's been a long time since I've had the OG OH IPA, but I was never a fan. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. In other words, boring and basic. This new one is dryer with more hop bitterness. I like it. Cool can art too. It's a welcome change from all the starburst candy beers.
