What's the % breakdown of people that go to DLD for beer only/music only/both?

 

Roughly 110/-20/10. Tickets sell out long before the bands are announced so unless you enjoy dropping $200 for a "Mystery Metal" show you are going for the DL and the best damn bottle share you'll ever experience.

okay now that someone else has asked, I don't feel as foolish. I googled it and came up with System of a Down.

 

Ahh that makes sense. I assume going to a music show involves 100% standing of some form as well. But I guess there's also the mosh pit and maybe they provide some recliners/chairs too.

I think I stood in line for no more than 30-40 minutes last year at DLD.

This one time, at Dark Lord Day, i saw these guys mix a variant cuvee, and the glass they were mixing it in exploded...

 

This two times, at Dark Lord Day, I saw these bottles of BBQ sauce that they mixed DL into, and the bottles exploded!

 

Did a cuvee of every 2018 variant in one of these glasses:



It was pretty good actually, the scotch was the only variant strong enough to really stand out from the rest when blended.

 

I am so happy I have one of those. Great for cereal and as a home defense weapon.

 

I'm in the middle of moving out of my place. Last night I started packing my glassware. I swear that damn glass is half of the combined weight of all my glasses (and I filled a 35 gal tub).

 

What bands would you like to see?
Man I would love to see Inferi play DLD this year. I saw them back in 07/08 and they've just gotten better over the years.
I dug last years lineup, and Revocation was probably my favorite on the bill.

Variants?
maybe, aged in an Angel's Envy Rye barrel, because the rye is aged in rum barrels anyway, could add some pretty wild flavors.
Or to be completely crazy maybe a syrah/shiraz barrel with habanero, hibiscus, and graham cracker

We didn't stand in line very long, and got 90% of the variants on draft anyway.
My only problem with last year were the massive amount of creepdicks trying to steal our beers.
