They have all been awesome. Galaxy was the best so far and needs to be revisited.

Yea my preference has been galaxy > mosaic > citra. All have been fantastic.

@Grimm_Artisanal_Ales I’d love to see future iterations of Centennial, Zythos/Falconers Flight, Amarillo.

    Make it happen!

What no Idaho 7? Lol. Agreed but would order it Galaxy>Citra>Mosaic. Don’t forget Nelson or some South African hops. I think any hop would taste great in the base beer. Looking forward to the Cashmere.

I don't think Grimm has ever made a beer with Nelson, which is interesting. I'm assuming its due to procurement issues due to poor harvests until like last year.

Now that I think about it, I think you are right.

Nelson is one of my favorite hops. I still remember the first sip I had of Alpine Nelson I got as an extra in a trade years ago...well before they started distribution. That beer blew my mind. I liked it more than PTE and other notable IPAs from Cali at the time.

have some out of town friends coming into the city in a few weeks... thinking of taking them to the GRIMM taproom. I've never been but looks awesome. I presume large enough to where it woudn't be too crazy mid sat? Def want to go to a brewery with them but other half seems to hyped/crazy?...

Grimm gets pretty busy on Saturdays. Getting there at 3-4 and its standing room only, pretty tight together. If you got there at opening you'd be fine to find a table, I believe.

    Agreed.

Everytime I’ve been there at opening it’s really tame. Plenty of room to find a table/seat at the bar.

The two times I got there around 4/5 and it was insanely crowded and uncomfortable. You can always try Grimm and if its too insane walk over to Interboro (2 mins). Also the Well is nearby and always has an awesome taplist.

I was at Grimm for the first time on Saturday around 6:30/7...very nice space but definitely crowded...No spots at the benches or higher tables. Then made our way over to Interboro which was a bit more tame..

Beers at Grimm & Interboro were excellent!

Before I saw this post, I was planning on going to Grimm this Friday at 5 to have a few beers and leave with some cans of pilsner without spending too much time there. For anyone who has been to their new space, would a release at the same time get in the way of my plans? I heard it can get tight there.

I haven't really seen people show up en-masse for releases, when it gets crowded it's more of a typical Williamsburg/Bushwick Saturday crowd out for drinks than craft beer geeks walking out with handcarts of cases.

If you got there Friday at 5 I'd bet you'll have 0 problem getting a seat.

Jam Don’t Shake is pretty crazy, tons of peanut butter on the nose and then it’s like a massive raspberry explosion, with a tiny bit of bittersweet chocolate on the finish. It definitely reminds me of many OH stouts which are good but a little too much for we to want more than 4oz at once.

Seconds is awesome, I don’t really get much Belgian ester character, to me it drinks somewhere between a dark mild and a session stout. It has this bakers chocolate edge to it which makes sense given the base beer.

    Hi all -

Quick question - looking to enjoy the new taprooon next Sunday with some friends. Understand Saturday can get crowded. Anyone have thoughts on how Sunday’s typically look like? Just don’t want a shot show - probably going mid afternoon ideally
