Noble Ale Works (2019)

I was just thinking the same thing.. How is that even possible? I checked to make sure I wasn't crazy and sure enough... yup, they celebrated turning 7 last year.

 

Established in 2009*. Sounds familiar

 

Desperate last cries from a dieing brewery.

 

An 18y/o should show up for the party and be like, "yeah but my parents started dating 3 years before I was born so, 21."

 

Maybe Macro-Sempai will notice me if I'm 2 years older and want to buy me. How excited the left over investors would be with a buy out! Kawaii!!!!

 

What's the story here? 10th Anniversary? I thought I had their original Pale Ale and IPA back around 2010ish? And it was not good. Wasn't it after the 1st year anniversary (which I was there) that they picked up Evan and things pretty much change from bad to great? Or did I loose 1 1/2 - 2 years somewhere? Are we in a Twilight Zone episode?

On top of that it could be a last ditch effort for a cash grab. Things obviously aren’t good there so maybe this will help them promote the event and make apsome extra bucks.

 

Am I missing something with this brewery? Somebody fill me in. People raved over their beer in last 5 years. I'm not in so cal, so I need info.

Evan, who put them on the map, left to start another brewery, Green Cheek, and took all his expertise with him. Not sure if the recipes remained with Noble or not. They've continued making the same beers with the same names but with different (sad, mostly) results. New recipes are hit or miss (mostly miss) and typically muddled messes.

To add to all that, their "expansion" is probably never happening and becoming a running joke, which doesn't bode well with all the other evidence that these guys are circling the toilet, or soon to be.

 

They've got good brewing capacity I believe and at least the possibility of expanding. At this point, I think they're a shell of their former self and am crossing my fingers one of the greats like Monkish, BW, MT, HPB, etc. buys the ready to go space for us OC folks.

Can you imagine Green Cheek taking over that space? I can. Cue the awkward feels.

But man, that space. Too small, too cramped, etc.

 

Noble is deceiving. It’s a hot chick with scabies. From the outside looking in it seems ok, but if you get to close - itchy city.
