Double Galaxy back in cans!

 

Is Double Galaxy likely to be gone before Friday?

 

No big releases this week. Lots of can offerings. Double Galaxy will be there on Friday. They can/bottle enough to last the week. Exceptions being Art, Clover, Damon and recently Samuel when the hype train kicks into overdrive.

 

You think Saturday too if i got there before open?

 

As outstanding and as popular DG is, I'd be stunned if it didn't make it through the weekend. Without knowing batch sizes on these can runs, I don't think any of them have sold out in a retail week (Wed-Sat). since they started canning.

I hope I didn't just jinx it since I'll be there this weekend and I'd like to be able to snag some since I have not had it in forever.

 

Man, you and me both. I am always a week early or a week late on Double Galaxy and Double Citra.....times are tough!

 

They already sold out of SS #6 cans after announcing them this week.

 

Can you share where it was posted since I can’t find it? Thanks. So, it sold out on the first day of retail this week after being announced for this week?

Yeah, I see that. I’m looking for the announcement that they were released/announced for this week like you said and then sold out on the first day of retail, today.

Yeah, just to confirm what Jon said, I had been tracking their canning as I went up last Thursday 2/28. I believe SS6 came out that week and there was plenty on Thursday in the late afternoon when I was there...

 

Thanks. I was trying to figure out mlobster suggesting they were announced for this week and sold out yesterday, when I thought for sure that couldn’t be the case and he only pointed to the updated retail page not the actual release info.

 

Yeah I was up last Sat. and I have S&S 6 in my fridge, as well as James.

Simcoe Pale, Mary, and Double Galaxy are the 3 new ones this week. James and S&S 6 were the hold overs from last week. Single Hop Nelson was the hold over from the week before (Samuel release, with a ton of traffic up there) and that lasted until last Friday for cans, and just got kicked in growlers yesterday.

Double Galaxy will be up there into next week for cans. And it will be on growler fills a couple days after that.

 

Question about the 2 beer limit--

Is that 2 beers per day? So if I'm up there from 12-5pm it's a limit of two pours for onsite consumption?

What if I've had 2 pours and then they put out a limited bottle, am I just out of luck?

Ive never been limited on my pours.

I have heard people being limited during extremely busy releases and that is more to keep the traffic and parking situation in check.

Ive gone over 2 pours every time ive been up there but 1 and thats cause it was so packed we decided to hit the Kingdom tap room in St. Johnsbury because they had a few HFS beers on tap and pours would be a lot faster there.
