    Another serving of Weyerbacher Insanity. Genuinely surprised I can find it, you'd think a barrel aged barleywine would be gone from the shelves quickly.

    The problem with BCBS is that it's a tough beer to follow up - and I'm all out of hops, so I don't even have any good options for a palate shifter.

    Fortunately, I've got a couple bottles of KBS left, and as it's not particularly a brew you want to put serious age on, now seems like a great time for it's harsher take on BB aging.

    This bottle is actually 13 months old, right around my personal sweet spot for KBS. This should do nicely.

    Royal Scam was my favorite by them a long time ago (which now changes with my mood). Liked this one:


    I mean...... I've never heard of Steely Dan. And they suck.

    Wow!

    What a complex and thought provoking brew.

    Im not a big fan of just posting the brewers notes of the beer on here but these are some damn impressive specs.

    Brewers Notes:
    "Barrel Aged Pollinator is a 7.2% Farmhouse IPA brewed with local NJ wildflower honey and aged in white wine barrels for 6 months. After aging in the barrel, we dry hopped this beer with Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc - both of these hops are known for notes of white wine. The result is a beautiful hybrid of the complexity you’d expect from a barrel aged saison with lots of oak and barrel character and the hop forwardness of a dry hopped IPA"

    And what a beer indeed. This is so far out of the wheelhouse from what Magnify brews today and I love it for that!
