I woudn't really call it a serious accusation... Oxidation happens, oh well, move on to the next beer.

However, if they were doing illegal practices then that's a serious accusation.

Fair enough. I withdraw serious accusation.

lol.. I didn't take it too seriously - and since most of the untapped feedback on it is positive despite the color, I could be wrong as well... just odd though that a beer using maine event as the base would have such a different color.

on a separate but related note, FWIW - I am liking the Strata hop in what I've tasted of it so far

Did you try the Zappa hop? I was pretty impressed.

Of the 2 - Strata and Zappa - I def prefer Zappa. Unique flavor, really enjoyed it.

This one is growing on me. In general I really do love when they brew single IPAs. I wish they would brew more beers like thank you friends.

It is, super smooth and crisp. If you enjoyed Pollinator the wine barrels took it to another level. Stop in n give it a try. I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

And what a beer it is indeed. I can totally see how this will be negatively received by the more current generation of Magnify fans, but for me, this is probably the closest we have gotten to the kinds of Beers Magnify use to brew back in the day. Like their Farmhouse DIPAs the Whoah series for example.

This beer is complex! Definitely is very white wine and barrel forward. That barnyard funk plays a big part on the beer as well. The hops and and the honey are less apparent but act more like nuances to the beer.

Not your typical Magnify beer, not even close. And I am so glad for that.

I want Magnify to be more artisanal and creative with their beers. But if all that sells are DDH Juice bombs, Pastry Stouts and Mikshake IPAs then why would they make more creative beers?

This is a creative beer and I can certainly see how it will rub many the wrong way and while it's not perfect, this gets a big ass A for "A"ffort from me.

Haven’t been there too recently but this one has me thinking of going tomorrow. Still miss the Woah series too but I agree the haze craze is what sells. At least they do something like this every now and then.

It's really not what you may have imagined it to be. Hard to recommend to be 100% honest, but worth a try.

Stopped by today to get Pollinator and High Beams. High Beams is very good if nothing special really but I really dig the Barrel Aged Pollinator. This one reminds me of what I liked about Magnify originally. An IPA but weird and different in a great way.

Im glad you like it, like I said, the current generation of Magnify fans wont understand or get it. But for us OGs who remember the kinds of beers they use to make, it's awesome!

Thought Stratospheric Event was just okay.

The Blueberry Short Stack is very good. The smell and taste of it reminded me so much of blueberry pancakes - literally like they made blueberry pancakes and blended it up. Was a nice balance between blueberry and maple.
